Received a call at my office from Renee Scott at 1-855-410-1469. Stating she had important papers to serve and wanted to know who she should deliver them to, and yet called about me. (Well, if you are a process server, and you are on your way with papers, for someone in particular, I somehow think the element of surprise is ruined with your rude and pre-emptive call!) She did not state who she was with, what the call was about, or why she needed to speak with me. All things in violation of the FDCA, if that is what it was for. Not to mention, public websites on civil court matters clearly list process serving matters - and (BIG SURPRISE) there is nothing there! It's very sad that these people actually attempt to make a living this way, it's sad that they insult people's intelligence by thinking they buy into this, and it's sad that some people don't know any better,and give in to these threats. Personally, I would be ashamed to say this is how I attempt to make a living - EXTORTION is an ugly word and an even uglier act.  

There ya go!!!   That's how you handle these scum sucking scammers.  If everyone would step up to the plate and give them the exact same speech when they called,  it would do more good than reporting to any of the worthless government agencies who do nothing but sit on their "small donkeys'    Now,  if they call back,  just repeat that over the phone to them....

Very rude calling my entire family which they are being harassed by their private investigators who I have no references on a loan! Leave us alone! I spoke to the loan office and they didn't even give them my info! The harassing line is 9732002404

this is keiths wife, he has no debts. we applied for a loan and decided not to do it. that was a year ago. this person keeps hounding us. trying to get credit card information, we have reported her numerous times, and have been getting harrassed for a month.  we have contacted the police and there is nothing on him. we are sorry that you are getting harrassed. we are trying everything we can to stop this

she keeps calling my husband myself and our work. she changes her number to local area codes, so we never know who it is.

When asked to send documentation, Linda Morris stated that they don't send written documentation that the papers being served will have all that information.  I'm like get out of here by law when requested to send validation of a debt you have to send it and she claims she works for a litigation firm...yeah right!  Keep of record of everything they tell you b/c you can start a law suite against them for not following the FDCPA.  Also, find out what the laws are for payday loans as they're illegal in many states and therefore these companies don't have a leg to stand on b/c they're doing business illegally.

Keep calling and harassing my phone and leaving messages regarding a loan that i have no idea what they are talking about!

I have had the same number calling me and calling my work and being very rude.  I have asked for them no to call back and they keep calling.  My HR department has asked them to stop calling and they won't.

from (855)817-5602 stating that i needed to call them ASAP or they were gonna come to my job and serve me papers and after being told by my boss to stop calling he kept calling he called five times and the secretary told him to stop calling if he called back they were gonna get him for harassment.

Rene Scott just called my employer from this number; yelling and demanding that I return the call.  After I didn't return the call for a few minutes she then called my cell stating that she would be to my office within a few minutes.  I told her I would like to know what type of transportation she had that could get from Margaretville, NY to Florida in a few minutes....she hung-up

same person called my husbands boss and after called him. told him that he needed to call this number and get it taken care of. when asked what company she works for she said she cannot tell and i told her that we have been scammed before  and i need to know. she came back with i will be at your door with them inn ten minutes and she hung up. called us back and have been ignoring them

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

Theresa Houston called my husband myself and my work today claiming that I had pending legal charges against me. I am currently having my payday loans handled by a consolidation company. She claims that I owe them thousands of dollars on a $350 loan. If she contacts you beware and tell her to contact your attorney.
