Hung up after I said hello twice

This scam has been going around since about 1995. With most windows based computers you do have an error log thats where they get the wording from. In reality occasionally that window will pop up and ask you if you want to send it to MS as in the real MS but its your decision it is not mandatory or automatic their purpose with this is to do the necessary updates to correct the issues at your discresion sending the errorr report. MS Does not have anything to do with viruses at all

Got call from this number today, a guy with a heavy Indian accent wanted me to give him access to my computer . He said my computer was sending out error messages . He said he was working on the behalf of Microsoft . There is prison for idiots like this , identity theft is a crime that is out of control!

I decided  to answer this  time since they called yesterday just to f*&^ with them. It rang once and some guy answered and said  hello twice. To which I said  hello both times. He hung up immediately after the 2nd hello from me. Now to block this number too. it was a robo call and then a human after I answered and said hello.

I am a server at a restaurant and I picked up on it pretty quick too,  as did most others do.

Indian guy, claiming my computer had a virus. I am in information security consultant so I knew it was a scam. I called him on it and he started swearing at me.

Just got one from this number. I  didn't bother to answer. I don't answer any call that I don't recognize  the number. Especially 855 numbers. They are almost always some sort of scam or phishing expedition. And they NEVER leave a voice mail. I answered one one time. Robo call. Told  me to call a different 800 number and referred to a case number. Needless to say  I didn't call the 800 number. I later read  that that number was  associated with a scam telling people there were arrest warrants out for them and they could be fixed if you paid xxx amount of dollars. And I have had calls actually from a phone number in India calling to let me know they were calling to FIX my computer that I called them about. Sorry but I didn't call India about a computer problem.  I  stopped that one by telling him I am on the Do Not Call list and then reporting it  and blocking the number on my phone.

Received this call today, apparently, they just started saying hello. Immediately I posed a question: "What company do you represent?" Effective, because immediately after, the caller hung up

Received call at 6am  Pacific time.  Didn't answer. No message left.

Really? And just how do you expect the law enforcement agency's to establish or get any info on these clowns if they don't get any reports?  Your excuse for not reporting is lazy and your frustrated because law enforcement and government can't solve these in a hour like CSI on TV..  

You keep on not reportin there sport, I'm going to keep reporting them whether I answer them or not.. The more info thats turned in, the more they have to against em when they do get caught up with, and it happens!

Does absolutely no good to report this number to the DO NOT CALL, people, because this call will not complete when you call them back, because all these type of scammers are doing is SPOOFING that number from a PC, using probably a service like Google Voice. Don't waste your time. Just never answer, letting it go to a machine, or voice mail. Even better if you have caller id only answering PEOPLE that you know!!!

I RECEIVE SEVERAL CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER WHEN I ANSWER THEY HUNG UP, I CALL BACK UNLISTIHNG NUMBER.

Got a call from an Indian sounding man yesterday from this number....couple of things:
1-extremely rude to me since I'm a female
2- i played along to get more info, so the guy went on to say that they were getting lots of reports of viruses from my Windows 7 PC/Laptop.  So I got back at him by asking WHICH laptop since i have 3.  I asked him for the IP address, at which point he again got nasty and told me if I just turn them on 1 by 1, he'd walk me thru the commands I needed to type into each one to find the infected computer.
3- at this point i told the guy, no way because- what he DIDN'T know was the other two are MACS.  i asked him how he got my phone number and thats when he hung up.

Total  scam, played along, then yelled out, "I know what this is ... you're not from Microsoft, and you're just trying to remote access my computer and steal my information." The heavy accent caller then agreed and said I was so smart and yes it is a scam, I felt so special. I got three calls from this number and as I am a professional driver, when I am on layover I use my laptop to view movies got a call from an Indian sounding man same as comments above, I am gonna play. Told him to call me back this weekend, I'll dance then I'll tell him I own a mac simply because he told me he knows every thing about me and my computer. when I asked how he got my cell phone number that I use for business, if he knows everything he would not have wasted my time now I'll waste his. LMBO

Ditto to all the previous posts...but he said his name was "Sam".  Tried calling back and was given the 'this number is disconnected' recording.

Same this as the posts below.... he called me 6 times today and i kept missing them... I finally picked up and he said he was from Microsoft and hung up... I am unable to call back

the asked me to fix it my computer with their guide.

I received a call from this number after seeing a few attempted calls on caller ID. Man with heavy Indian accent said he was from Microsoft and that they are getting messages from the computer that it is going to crash. Wanted me to log on to give my computers information. When I questioned further, he insisted he was from Microsoft. Knowing this was a scam , I told  him I would "take my chances" and to not call me again.

Just got off the phone with this number. Just as the others have stated, a male with a foreign accent said that he was from Microsoft and that my computer had been sending error notifications and that my computer had a  virus that he needed to fix. I told him everything was fine and he insisted that i go right now to my PC so he can fix it.  I laughed at him and he hung up.  

I got a call from this number stating they rec'd a message saying my computer was at risk and they were wanting me to get on my computer so we could fix the problem.  I could barely understand the guy and knew it was a fraudulent call!  I refused to give any information!

They have been calling for months without leaving a message. Finally, I answered, and a male with an Indian accent started talking to me. I said: Who is this? He replied: I am calling from Microsoft and this is in regards to your computer, OK? I said: No it is not OK, I don't really understand why you are calling me. Then he hang up.

I want to know who this is because it keeps on calling me

I got a call from 855.823.2062.  I played along for a while as they said they were Microsoft Support and they wanted me to go to google and type in team weaver. When he told how to spell team weaver, I told him I was not stupid and I could spell and he hung up on me.  I guess he figured out by that time that I'm not stupid enough to give someone access to my machine.  
It is most annoying and I do hope Microsoft casn do something about it.

I got a call from 855-823-2062 claiming that my computer has a virus and that they can fix it for me.

I keep getting someone named "George"  telling me about my windows computer, mind you I don't have any windows computer, I told him this with an attitude (3 times already) and when I was waiting for a reply he acted like a 3 year old and cried out moooooommmmmiiiieee, wth!

I got the same call from this number...the man hung up mad when I told him I was not getting those critical errors and that my pc was working fine.

Left no message.  Called it back and it said that the call cannot be connected.

This number showed up as a missed call.  Given the reports below, I will not be calling it back
