It was "Tracy" that called me.  Message was a bit garbled, but essentially the same as above, 25,000 and a local shopping mall.  This is the call back number she gave.  Caller ID shows 800-739-9305.  Asshats

Received calls from 1-855-545-7296 and 1-855-830-8109 (ext 848) today.  Both of the callers stated I had won $50K from a contest I entered (or someone entered for me).  Since I've received the same calls numerous times before and other folks here state they've received similar calls, this is a bona-fide scam.

Pretty the same as everyone else.  I'm glad I looked this up, as I too had entered a contest at an RV show.  But, no first name of the person who "won" and no identification of where the contest had been held. No return phone call from me.

I received a message to my landline from a woman who said she was from the Notification Center and like everyone else she was not that clear on the message cause she was talking so fast.  I had entered a sweepstakes at a mall/movie theater/ or other venue and she had good news for me.  at the end of the message she said her name was Tracy at ext 865.  I called because I was really curious...I guy answered "notification Center", Duwan or juwan or something weird like that.  I asked for extention 865 he said "oooh everyone is in a meeting right now but I can help you.  Who left you message?" I told him Tracy did and he said oh ok I knew it had to be tara or tracy.  He was going to help me but then stop in his tracks said oh wait tracy will be calling you back in 45 minutes thank you and he hung up on me. Im totally freaked out.  SUCH A SCAM!!!

I received a message on my home phone from Tracy, Ext. 865, 2 days ago.  Bummer man...I supposedly only won $25K!  What happened to the $50K everyone else got offered?  I feel cheated!!  Tracy left a very peppy message but it was not that clear - I think her peppiness got in the way because she was "fast talking".  I believe she said she was from the Verification Center & that I entered the sweepstakes @ local mall, or store, or online...  Yup, I won't be calling back.

Got the same message. Call originated from 800-910-7247. Woman's voice said a person at my number had won a $50,000 shopping spree or $25,000 cash after entering the contest at a shopping center, theater or online. Said her name was Tara and to call her back at 855-830-8109 ext/ 742. Also said congratulations.  (Maybe -- like D. Ross said -- she said her name was Keira and not Tara.)

Your entry was recently selected. Please contact me toll free at 8558308109. My extension is seven eight seven and again my name is Eric. Thank you. Congratulations once again and have a great day."

Rec'd a message from Tierra 855-830-8109 stating I had won a prize which could be a $50,000 shopping spree or $25,000 cash. I never enter contests, and immediately thought this was bogus. Tierra  did not state the name of who won, second cue. Caller i.d. said 800-910-7247. Since I am on the "Do No Call" list, I reported this company to the Do Not Call, FCC complaint line. After reading a few of the on-line reviews of Debt Collection, I am puzzled as I do not have any outstanding debts. I check my credit report yearly.

This was creepy because at the end of the message she said "this is *myname*".  So I wasn't sure if by chance, her name is my name, or if they got my name from something, or if it was legit and they meant I was that name, or what.  Glad I looked it up here!  My message said that I'd won a $30,000 shopping spree or a $25000 cash option.  I have been entering a lot of contests lately so I wasn't sure at first.

Something else that is telling is that my phone definitely never rang.  I've been getting a lot of these lately and they all skip straight to voicemail somehow.

Like everyone else, I too had a message on my home machine from Nicole.  She was calling from the notification center regarding an entry that someone had submitted on my behalf within the past year at a local shopping center, mall or movie theater to win 50K.  Then proceeded to say congratulations your name has been chosen funny thing is she never mentioned a name).  Please call back as soon as possible and we look forward to hearing from you.  She left the number and her extension, 419.  Like others before me, I knew it was a scam and had no intention of calling back.

There is really no reason to get repeated calls from obnoxious callers.
Simply get a phone number blocking service, app or device.
Almost all of them are under $50,000  :-)

Debt Collector
I recieved several calls from 800-910-7247, the caller I.D'd herself as Nicole. She claimed I won $1000 in some kind of prize giveaway. She continued telling me to call 855-830-8109 for prize claim. Sure enough, it was a collection agency trying to collect an old dept. I advised the caller, that the account information has been forwarded to my bankruptcy lawyer for review and if need be his office will forward any coorespondance pertaining to the case to the manager or supervisor of the company. The caller wasn't receptive and became extremely rude. A moment of weakness on my part, I got defensive and told her that the account first of all was over 7/yrs old. And the fact that matters, regardless if I pay it now or not, it won't change what's on my report and ultimately wouldnt effect my score. Yes, eventually it will show up as it has been paid and solidified, but other than that its wasted money on my part because it will not reflect my scoring
Now, if paying off these old depts gave me the added perk that while I'm paying off an old dept, I get the reward of seeing my repairs reflecting on my credit report, but it does not. In addition, these collectors by law can continue to have that dept on your report for an additional 7/yrs if need be. Yes, I can call the collector and request to have it removed once it has been paid, but, a request is just a request, and if they are in a crappy mood or somewhat hurting  because I just took any chances away from them in the sense that they cant collect their bonus for this dept;  they really do not have to honor it or will at least take there sweet time to have it removed. I've grown custume to obtaining as much info as possible prior to me returning any of these "SPOOF" phone calls. Because a 5/min conversation with these callers can totally change your mood from happy to down right verbally abusivde and MFing anyone and everyone you come in contact with. It's not worth your time and aggrevation. But, if I can get $1000 a week for reporting these companies for violating and disregarding a court order because there pride has taken the best of them, I say, Bring It! I could use the extra cash flow.

Forgot to mention, the called ID indicated the call was coming from a land line in Cambridge, Minnesota, (651) 237-3682. My guess is these scammers were spoofing someone's home phone number.

Received a message today from "Keira" regarding a sweepstakes I entered at a shopping mall, movie theater or online within the past 12 months for a $50k shopping spree or $25k cash, and my name was pulled. I should call 855-830-8109 x742 to speak to her. And, congratulations. The message was very fast and somewhat unintelligible at times. Total scam.
