If it's valid debts owed, then they need to communicate in writing.  

They can call and leave as many voice mail messages threatening filing as much as they would like.... If they can't follow the guidelines under FCPA, then they shouldn't expect any cooperation from those they are harassing.

it is not a scam, they are collecting on old and newly charged off debt -- utilities, credit cards, phone bills, student loans. so many bills come back to haunt you and each state has different time frames to collect on them. good luck.

you must not understand the collection world---- as a former collector and debtor... they want to get paid plain & simple, its valid debts that are owed and tactics vary in hopes of the result of payments.

I got a sheet where I got a call to call 855-861-2247 about serving papers in 48-72 hrs on march 12th its now may and i never got served any papers.. they also called 1st week of may again to call the 2247 back about ss# fraud something entirely different than their original call in march. either there wanting money or my ss# or credit card bank account numbers.. They didnt even state my name in the last call i think its automative so that they can get someone to call it eventually..Hey pissed off person did you ever ger served any papers, what became of your situation, thanks in advance for any replies...

This number haa called me several time, one was threatening stating felony investigation against me and another person told me it might be identity theft regarding a check written.  I don't know if this is real or not and how do you find out? Is this a real firm or is this a scam? Can someone let me  know.

Called my brother in law who I am tied to in no way to tell him something about social security fraud. Weird! I am a homeowner and have phones in my name so its not that hard to get a hold of me. Needless to say brother in law was worried for me so gave them my number but they have not called me. Not sure how to stop them from calling other people? Ms Daniels is the person apparently.

Just got a call from a Gary Graves with a  local phone number. He said he was from legal services and had a paper to serve me in the next 24-48 hours. I asked for his phone number and he gave it to me. Turns out that number is for the local library and has been changed. So he also proceeded to tell me to contact Russo Dietz and Lutzmann. I do not have any correspondence from these people. The last time they called they called my job at 6:48 am, I only heard the guy say Sh&% and then hang up. But at my job it gives you the number that called. These people are calling all over my place of employment leaving messages about me. What can I do? Who do I call to file a lawsuit over this harassment? Or even to get them to stop. The guy tried to get me to say I will resolve the issue but I said I would contact the person. This MUST STOP.

Cool! Every minute you spend spewing your facetious diatribes on here is one less minute you're on the phone trying to trick and intimidate a potential victim out of their money!

really a msg board is for all to post...positive and negative comments. so deleting posts that defeat your purpose of slamming 800 #s. collection agencies, repo comapnies and whatever else is self serving. there are 2 sides to every story. and people lie in collections as well as people who owe bills.

Several?  What are you talking about?  I posted ONCE. Just once, to talk about my experience with this company which is why I thought this message board was here. I didn't say anything offensive, rude or untrue and my post got deleted.  How can this even be considered a good source of information if you delete everything you dont agree with?

I just received a call from a man saying he was with the county where I am from and that I was going to be served with court papers in the next 72 hrs but if I call Russo, Deitz and Lutzman I would be able to stop it, Im sorry but Once papers are ready to be served there is nothing you can do to stop it, When I asked the man what number he was calling from and his name he hung up on me......So yes this is a SCAM and I for one will not have someone scare me that way.......

i have had to calls on my cellphone for myself from dietz and lutzman the women who left the voicemail sounded a little weird about wanting me to call back and give her my social security number and full name because i had identity theft, i immediately started doing research knowing it was a scam. i have also received 3 call for my sister who lives in a different state, we have never had the same last name (two different dads) and she doesnt give out my number so there is no real way to connect us, saying that there is a pending matter under investigation left a case number and wants her to call back with her ss#, it was a different caller each time that left there name, there was ross and now James, the thing is my voicemail specifically says my name on it and nothing about her, and they each called from a different number which comes up on caller id the latest 631-771-1626 and tell you to call back at the number listed above. when i pulled up this number online it came up with east hampton ny broadway communications llc.

Well at least I know proper English....If I do not know about a bill, I cannot pay it.  I ask and they do not send anything???  You cannot give notice via the phone.

Amen to Thomas!  I have been a credit and collections manager for many years.  On behalf of myself personally, as well as those who are legit collection agencies, we do check our facts...we do not threaten, nor use such language.  It is completely unprofessional!  As a person, I have had numerous calls over the years from agencies.....with less than reputable agents.  I have no outstanding bills now, nor have I had...but I was the victim of identify theft and it can truly throw all your positive credit attributes out the window.

No need to scream.  You seem to assume that every debt collection agency calling anyone is doing it properly; in other words, they have a valid debt from that person.  The reality is that many debt collection agencies have no valid debt in the first place; they are bottom feeders who buy debt that can't be collected anyway but they try to threaten people.  

I would suggest you use more appropriate language and check your facts first.  If you yourself are a debt collector it speaks volumes for the incivility of debt collectors and their lack of training.

They left me a voice mail saying somebody had breached their contract and it was tied to my name and SSN.  Sounded like a scam.  The caller ID shows 213-995-6209, but the voice mail said to call back 855-861-2247.  can't find absolutely any business by those names anywhere in the Los Angeles area (213 area code is downtown LA).  Checked my credit reports, all looked find.  Sounds like a scam.

They left me a voice mail saying it was a personal matter.  Caller ID shows 213-995-6209, but message they left said to call back 855-861-2247.  Called them and told them not to call me as there is nothing for them from google. haven't a clue who they are.

They called my work, tried to dial my extension (I believe) and then they spoke with someone in the finance department at my company, My office did not give any information out but asked for a message.

I get quite a few calls from unknown numbers but I have Mr. Numbers send them all to vm and no message is ever left.
