Very loud call center and the guy is yelling hello before I can even say anything.  He starts off by saying he is calling on behalf of AT&T and they are calling all loyal AT&T customers to make sure they are getting the best rates for their phone service.  What phone service do you have?  I then asked him is he with At&T and says no were a third party calling for AT&T what kind of business do you have running there?  I said we only speak to our true At&T rep and hung up the phone as he tried to give another rebuttal.

Get called two or three times every week from AT&T provider.  They use the above numbers and different ones.  Is this one company changing their caller ID or is there really that many companies calling representing AT&T.  It is enough to make us want to change our lines away from AT&T.  Between At&t and the we represent your Google listing - the number is quite a few a month that never seems to stop.  What exactly are our next steps that are meaningful.  Thanks for reading.

These idiots called me again today.  Same boiler room noise but this time I got Mr. Surly McSurlyPants yelling into the phone.  Five hellos later, he finally asked for the person in charge of an AT&T account.  I told him to add my number to their DNC list to which he made some strange noise and hung up.

All I got was boiler room noise for a few seconds and then they hung up.  Caller ID showed Toll Free Caller.  To anyone worried about unauthorized charges on your phone bill, call your phone company and ask for a cramming/slamming block.  They don't charge for the blocking and it's an extra protection from these scam calls.

They call our business a few times a week, when we answer they just hang up, takes a lot of time out of my workload to stop a project only to get hung up on. Why doesn't the government do something about telemarketing companies? It's my phone that I pay for, if they call me it should be for some kind of ethical reason.

get these calls several times a day all week long (we have 5 business lines that ring into our main office). I do not believe they are with AT&T, or even represent them.  In past when we mistakenly talked to similar telemarketer calls they used that call (recorded our answers) and charged our phone account (third party billing).  all this without any authorization.  It took me months, but I got all our money back and put every block possible on our lines with AT&T to prevent any additions or changes to our accounts without my written authorization.  It is now company policy to give NO information over the phone. we don't even "confirm" our information. we tell them if they are legit they can send request for updated info to address they already have on file and they do not need anyone's name to do this.

LakeRat: You are the dimwit.  Most people don't answer and have caller ID so if they call and hang up, no one has any control.  Don't stand on your moral high ground and lecture to the rest of us.  We are a business and do not answer these stupid calls !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another company minning for information on behalf of ATT. Asked the question "are you ATT" or "affiliated with ATT." The important question is "what is the purpose of your call", today. All respond with, "Your ATT DSL account service", in-which this company terminated the DSL account this year and went with another lower cost internet service provider. The caller is advised they did not win the prize for not having the correct answer and then the call is terminated. This all takes approximately 1-2minutes of your time. Have fun...

Business numbers are not afforded any protection by the Do Not Call list.  Telemarketers knowingly calling a business number are not required to check against the DNC list before calling. See the Information for Consumers page on the DNC website.

This company and others call our business all the time, saying they are AT&T and are lowering their rates to be more competitive  and not lose customers to Comcast and Time Warner.  I told them we were still under contract with AT&T, which they disputed.  When they switch you over to record your information to change your rates---that's when you will hear you are being switched to another company, not AT&T.  These companies are all resellers and not affliated with AT&T.

Call multiple times per day, "we are migrating our loyal AT&T internet customers to Uverse at no charge". Fools, if you were truly AT&T you would know we already have Uverse at this location. At least the last caller sounded American instead of a muzzie or hindu accent. May they rot in a pig and alcohol infested hell forever!!

BUT, you DID answer the phone when the answering machine picked it up. The terms you used apply more to you than the much smarter telemarketers who have you confused enough to do what they want, which is simply to verify the number is working. Get a clue.

You guys are the dimwits for answering these calls. It likely has nothing to do with ATT, but is just somebody who bought a list of ph numbers and is calling to verify they are working numbers. When you or the answering machines picks up, *kaching* the telemarketer wins. They don't want to talk to you because they are merely verifying the list. Use caller ID and don't pick up these calls. If you keep picking up, just expect more calls. Since many of these originate from outside the US, do not call lists do not apply.

Stupid dimwits called again @ 2:32 pm on 9/13 and again @ 10:29 am on 9/16/13.  No idea where they received their training to keep calling and not leave a message ?????????????????????????  This is where the U.S. has reached !!!!!!!!!!! Hire morons, nincompoops, dimwits, nitwits, stupid people to keep calling and harassing businesses/residences only to hang up.  Then these same stupid phone companies will stand in front of Congress and request they want freedom to increase their rates because their costs have gone up for hiring morons !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These idiots frequently call our office (multiple times per week).  When I ask them whether they ARE AT&T, or just representing their services, they hang up on me.  We're on the Do Not Call registry, but that seems to be of little use.  They have refused to identify themselves.

ANOTHER company calling "on behalf of AT&T".  I'm getting these every day.  I've filed complaints federally and on the State level.  I've sent AT&T service requests.  I'm currently on hold with AT&T so I can chew some a**.  So tired of this.
