Evelyn, do you understand how the "Serving" of summons works?  What is required to take you to court?   The fact that a stranger is asking you to call them to avoid legal action?   Does something not smell right to you?     Well,  it's isn't it worth some phone calls and your own investigating to find out,  since they are threatening you?   Those who post for no other reason than to convince you that you should call that stranger usually have a motive that you're not going to like.  Those that take their time to point out suspected scamming and alert you and others, who have absolutely no motive or opportunity for financial gain,   doesn't that seem to you that you just might listen to them?      Use your own judgement.  We get paid nothing either way.

I got a call saying that I had legal documents being delivered for a bad check written
I THOUGHT IT WAS A SCAM due to the fact I do not use checks
It turned out to be an old pay day loan from over a year ago.
They took care of me and knocked a good Chunk of the balance for me
I had a some paid in full notice a few weeks later. I took the money out
And got in. A  bad financial Situation and so I have no issues with it.
It sucks to pay a lump sum like that but it was my own fault.

allen b...you do write like a low life sleazy debt collector,,but if you want to prove to us that your not a low life give me the docket number the court house and state where you was sued..this is all public record and no vital info is on the judgment that we all will read...of course if we dont hear from you then we all know your a lying sleazy debt collector whos company check n go has a F rating with the BBB the lowest rating you can get

I don't know about that. I had the same phone call from this number about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday a sherriff came to my door step claiming I had missed court. Come to find out they processed me for a court date and never told me. I thought this was some type of collections sceme until I realized I had actually wrote a bad check but mine was over $1300 with Check n Go. Now I'm paying twice that with court fees. Not sure if your an attorney or not but please give me some info on how I could possibly get my money back or am I just at a lost.

Tamra Allen. Alleged that they have been "trying to serve me summons for court."  Please call her before she has to go to court. I am a lawyer and I know this is all BS. Court's issue sumoons, not people. I am VERY easy to find if someone was trying to "serve me." It's a scare tactic. Don't call back.
