I got a card in the mail with a $100 gift rebate good at Wal Mart, Target, and more.  They start asking you for info and then want you to give them you credit card info to pay for shipping and handling.   DON'T DO IT.  IT IS A SCAM .   All they want is you credit card info.  The number they want you to call is 1 855 760 0174.  They give you a claim number.  SCAM SCAM

I just got a call from a number that was blocked they told me that I need to call back this 855 number within 24 hours or I am in contempt. I have fallen for the 2 times and paid them. It's stopped for about 4 months now and started again. Can someone tell me what to do. I don't have a ton of money to blow on a lawyer but this has to stop! Please help. How did they get the last 4 digits of my ss#?

I got a call when I told them not to call my number again and hung the person called me back and told that they are not afraid of me and they are watching me and my children! I will contact my local police!

I got a call from a number 615 729 0018 claimed that I have a warrent for a outstanding pay day loan that I never had.she rudely told me to go to the nearest police station to turn myself in  then hung up .since I told her Im not going to pay anything I don't owe.

Thanks for the warning I got several call from this person about money I don't even owe.I will be send the to my lawyer and the police.

I just received a call from 317-534-0358 a computer voice I could hardly understand but something like a case in contempt of court I am now legally given notice something about Chase Bank I don't have a Chase bank account and hung up - I am blocking this number

Called the number today for my mother who has been getting the harrassing calls from Arthur Abrams 855-890-2982 and the number is not disconnected.  Horay!  But what is sad they will show up again under another name and number.
She is now getting calls from Derrik Simpson 866-780-9176.  It's the same story as everyone above, i'd like to see them come after an 80 year old woman.

I just got a call from Arthur Abrams this morning. Sounded really sketchy to me so I did some investigating and came acrossed this site. Glad I did. I'm definetly not calling back, and I don't take lightly to threats. If I do owe someone money for a loan (and I fully admit I may) then they are going about trying to collect it in a very wrong way.

I keep getting calls from this number. They have now called me everyday last week they are starting it up again this week. They say I am in contempt of deposition and I am the primary person of interest. They also say to call an Arthur Abrams. I have not yet called this number, I am trying to figure out how to get them to stop calling me.

I told them the courts took over my finances. In order to get paid, they will need to submit a statement to my appointee.. Without a statement, it doesn't get paid.

Also original message on voicemail said they were from Checque Systems or something.

This company called me to tell me that I had committed check fraud and that I was going to have a warrant for my arrest and everything for a debt that I owed. She told me the last 4 digits of the account, and I told her that it had been paid in 2012. UI called back 10 times before they answered and I confirmed the whole account number for her to hang up on me. Then called back to find out if I needed to submit papers showing proof of payment. For them to hang up on me repeatedly and then finally when they did answer- they yelled at me- YOUR ACCOUNT IS CLOSED and hung up. This company and TIOR capital is a complete scam. Various people since TIOR Capital loan have called me even though it is paid in full.

I recieved a call from this number and when I called to see what was going on and why they had called, the lady was so rude.  Would not give up any form of information at all other than this is from a payday loan.  I have ot had a payday loan in over 5 years and I do KNOW i paid them off.   Just wanted to get my info without answering any of my questions.  WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?

Adding to my comment a few minutes ago please contact your authorities for fraud. I've contacted even Sen. McCain. If you can record these guys like I did, even better. My cousin is married to a lead counsel in the Armed Services Committee so he will be getting an email as well.. Let's get these b*****ds! Each area of enforcement has a department or can be notified if it's a rural area of an incident. City, County, State and Federal is the way to go. The name SADAMS is a slap in the face as it stands and now they are calling with threats, cussing, etc. I don't think so, not on my watch. I will be posting the property holdings including personal so we can write them letters at home and hopefully within a week as I have many dr. appts we can call them on their cell. Sucks for them.

Got a phone call originally from 240-247-1564 to call the 855-890-2982 number as I was in contempt. I made my first call and I was transferred to Abraham who quickly hung up the phone while saying, "we'll turn the paperwork into the Sheriff", click. I proceeded to call back a few more times and I asked them what the deal was and they hung up. I then called back and the gal said to turn myself in, get a life and get a job. I said I'm a 100% disabled vet but she didn't hear that so I called back and advised her of that and the fact that I've been recording the conversations. Now they just hang up.

These scum-suckers have called AGAIN! They continue to say that they are coming to arrest my son, who supposedly took out a PDL in 2008.

Again, they say that they are going to be serving him at his place of business next Wednesday.

I recieved a call just now from a number that I did not recognize so I let it go to voicemail. The call came in from 916-778-4032 (which is a local number in my area) but the automated msg gave a call-back number of 855-890-2982. Same thing as others...automated message from "Arthur Abrams" Director of Claims Processing Dept at Check Services.  He gave a 6-digit file # and stated that I was a primary person of interest and that I am now in contempt of this deposition due to lack of response from the respondent.  It all sounded really fishy so I googled Check Services and the 855 number and I saw it was a scam.  Thanks to others posting about their similar stories I will not be calling that number back.

These people call me all the time, the call us not for me!  When I call back and ask for the company name they hang up on me!  I am a collections rep for a major credit card, so I know the laws....they can call you up to 9x's per day, but it is illegal for them not to tell you what company they work for!  Also once they make contact with you  they are only able to call u one time every 3 to 4 days!  So since they aren't looking for me asking for someone else, I am gonna piss them off and continue to call them every hour on the hour see how they like it!  I have told them many times to stop calling gave them my #.  I read on here not to give that to them  however it don't ever yes this phone # and it is a magic jack phone! which will not work come next February!   A***oles!

This man called today (don't know his name) but he screamed and cussed at me.  Said my son owed money.  My son has been dead 3 years.  Please help!!  This company needs to be shut down.

Ladies and gentlemen I just heard from my state attorney general regarding these crooks.  They are in fact a scam.  Do not give them any information at all.  Do not offer to pay them any money whatsoever.  Per the advice of my attorney general, I called them back and made them aware that the state attorney general is aware of the scam.  In addition, I let them know that the state and local police are also aware and are investigating them.  That's a sure way for these punks to hang up quickly.  FYI, they can't threaten arrest.  In addition, if the police had a warrant for ones arrest they wouldn't call you and give a heads up.  These scum are just looking to scare people into giving them credit or debit card numbers.  Don't do it.  Turn the tables on these low life bottom feeders.

Arthur Abrams called me today.  Left the same message as he did to others.  Such a shame we have to have all this technology today so that some jerks with nothing better to do can try to scam us.  Bad enough we have a group of people who sneak in laws to do it legally.

I received the same call (855-890-2982) several times at home and on my cell - they did this to me 4 years ago and now they are back at it again.

I received a call today too and their was automated system telling me the same thing when I pressed 9 no one came online. Reading through these comments I have contacted my lawyer to take swift action against them. Scamerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
