They keep calling and person on the other end just sits there. This number calls once a week for a couple months now and it's getting old.

Read up on the laws and your rights, Follow the steps in what you need to know and send them a cease & desist letter via certified US mail. You can find a template free online for this.

"Collection Consultants of California". They call every day asking for someone who doesn't live here. I can't convince them that they have the wrong number. I have no debts. Someone has apparently used my number to hide from owing a debt.

I got the same phone call. Only they were looking for my son, which I thought was funny, cause when my son wants to borrow money, he goes through his Father so he only owes his Father (no interest rate).
The woman on the other end, had the heaviest East Indian accent, and her name was Mary Taylor, LOL.
She stated that the business was personal and could not tell me why she was calling for my son or the name of her company. I became really irate and told her," If you can't give me pertinent information to leave a decent message, then I'm not giving him the massage at all", and I hung up.
A man called a week ealier with the same "Personal Bussiness" line.
Now that I know it's a scam, It's time to have a little fun of my own!

Got a call from this number today, something about a collection agency calling to collect a debt of mine. Which is funny because I have no debts.
