I've received my fourth call from this number, and each time I answer, there is no response from the calling party. I wait a significant amount of time hoping to talk to someone so I can request adding my number to the "do not call" list, but no one comes on!  I'll try the "8" option and hope for the best....

Thanks for the tip! These guys have been calling me 2-4 times a day, even after I told them I did not want a particular subscription renewed, and hung up on them. They've been blocked on my smartphone anyway, but it's getting kind of insane. Hopefully your solution has them gone for good.

After dozens of calls from this number with no voicemail ever left, I finally decided to call it back. It's an automated magazine subscription renewal service. There wasn't a live person when I called, just a recording telling me that my magazine needed to be renewed. It said press 1 to renew, 2 to cancel, and 8 to be placed on their do not call list. I pressed 8 so hopefully it works and they won't call anymore.

They call home phone, sometimes several times a day. Never leave a message.
