Keeps calling my work number. Won't leave a message. When I pick up, they repeatedly ask for personal info (I won't even verify if they have the correct person, which they don't, since they won't verify who THEY are or the purpose of the call..). Sounds like bottom feeder collection to me, since they are increasingly rude & demanding. Don't engage.

This is a scam pure and simple. DO NOT RESPOND! DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO! If it is a true debt collector, they already have all your info. They do not need to verify anything. Do not push any buttons on your phone, do not call back, do not give out last 4 of your SS#, do not give out your D.O.B., do not verify your address, do not give them your credit card info, and by God, do not believe them when they tell you that you have an outstanding debt in the hundreds or thousands of dollars. If you want to know if that is true, go to your bank and ask them to do a FREE credit check for you. If you know you have an outstanding debt, then YOU call THAT company, not the other way around!

Repeated calls from this, no message. I answered once, there was no one there.
My accounts are good and I have no idea who or what they want except for the info
given here.

Calls and hangs up.  This is supposed to be a collections agency but they don't want to leave a message.  Have received several hang ups in the past two months.  

This number just called with a machine asking if A**hole Curvy was here press 1? What in the world! If to wait for A**hole Curvy to come to the phone press 2. It repeated my number and asked if this was A**hole Curvy's number press 3. If not A**hole Curvy's number press 4 to be removed from call list if not the person. I pressed 4 and it hung up. My call block is full on my phone. So annoyed to decide which animal to take off or buy another separate block feature unit. I owe nobody money ever! Not to mention the offensive name they asked for what in the! I hope they don't start bothering me. I know a lot more about my rights to not be harassed. I have never heard of any people these kind of calls ask for. It's like how did you get my number?

Many companies including the telecoms - HughesNet comes to mind - will settle account disputes such as early termination fees, etc., but then years later sell the account balance as junk debt - especially if you leave and get service from another carrier.  They will do this when you legally do NOT owe the fees.  Some companies lie about returns on merchandise --especially some of these $19.95 and other sorry merchandise and scams you see in TV Ads.  Then they try to collect from you on returned merchandise.  If you don't pay, then they sell your account as junk debt.  Not everyone these debt collectors chase is a deadbeat.  

Just because someone gets collection calls doesn't mean they are dead beats or whatever. People all over the nation have fallen on hard times with this recession. Some times things like keeping a roof over your head, utilities kept on and some food in the house take precedence over other bills. Also when you try to work with some of these creditors they want a large down payment, which is almost impossible to come up with without borrowing and going deeper into debt, before they will even consider a REASONABLE payback agreement!

Received a call at 10:07 a.m. from this number with a really suspicious Caller ID:  Mrs. BPO LLC  (seriously, you think people will pick up the phone with that kind of name?!?!)  so I did not answer.  It went to my machine, no message left.  Lately getting a higher than usual number of calls from several areas.  I don't have any debt in collection, but some calls leave recorded threats about "last chance" to pay my back taxes.  It's tax season ~ the scammers are out in full force.

Please provide evidence that any of the posters complaining about these calls don't pay their credit card bills.  Can you even prove that any of them have a credit card?

Received a Skype call in Switzerland.  Pretty sure I don't have any bad debts in the US.  Must be robo-dialing.

called my house asking for me by name, said they had an important message from verizon.  I told her I have never had a verizon account to which she responded she wasn't trying to sell me anything.  But before she could tell me why I was calling she wanted me to verify my ss#.  I laughed, told her absolutely not.  Then she threw out two numbers which aren't anywhere close to my last two.  I told her so and she said 'well, then your name isn't ________'.  I laughed again and told her that WAS my name for my entire adult life but there are probably 100 people in the US with the same name.  She got really annoyed and said she'd try a different way to contact me.  Yeah, you do that.  I figured they were trying to collect someone's bad debt but I know it's not mine.

Stop calling my number.

Just got a call but didn't recognize the person named 'out of area' so I didn't answer.  I don't owe anyone any money and I have never had an account with Chase.  These people are morons.  I will block this number.  They'll probably call from another number but when they do I'll file a complaint on the Do No Call Registry.  I know that doesn't work well but if more people did that maybe we could get some action.

This is a collection agency MRS. BPO LLC. They keep calling all hours of the morning and night on my cell phone. Since I have the call reject button I just use that for now.

Got a call from this number this morning.  The person asked for a person by name and I asked them how they got my number.  They asked for the person again and I, again, asked them how they got my number.  I told them this is my personal number and to stop calling.  The person said that they would remove my number from their call list.  Let's see how long it will be before they call again.  Last week I received calls from them, but the number was an Illinois call.  Now the calls are coming from New Jersey.  I nor anyone else in my household will give them any personal information, so they can stop harassing us.

You big dummy!  Why would you post someone's phone number on a public website?  Grow up and, if they call, just hang up.  Stupid.

All companies sell debt for pennies on the dollar to collectors after they fail to get the money they say you owe. It's standard practice. Some ruthless collectors will use info they have or gather to put liens and repo your property, withdraw from any accounts they can find, or even garnish your wages via court orders.
A VERY good reason to keep your info private.

MRS BPO LLC.  Under no circumstances should you give any caller your personal information, such as address, last 4 of soc sec #, etc.  You have no obligation to do so.  Repeated calls with no messages advising the identity as a collection agency is violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act.
