Thank you for your post.  I've only received one call from this number--before 6:30 in the morning.  The man with the Indian accent didn't leave his name, though he addressed me by my full name.  And he said the call was urgent and that I should call him back at "this number," though he did not leave his number (it appeared on caller ID).  I have no idea how he got my number, and I hope he never calls back.  If he does call back, I already have his number saved as "Telemarketer" so I know to ignore it.  Perhaps I should add to the caller ID something more descriptive, like "scammer" or "pervert."

A friend told me about an app called majicJack, that lets you make phone calls using data instead of minutes.  I tested it out, and, when I called my land line, it showed 858-206-0159 as the incoming number.  When I called his cell phone, it came up as 239-300-6975 on his phone.  Maybe this app routes calls through some number in Florida for cell phones and uses a local number for land lines (in this case San Diego County).

I received a call from this number and the person who was calling me trying to get me to answer was a scumbag by the name of Greg Owen or better known as "Squirrel" he is a known transient and his telephone number is 619-733-5298

This number has called my workplace several times and I'm being pretty generous by saying "several." Lets say over 100+ calls in 6hrs, to a hospital nursing station. Disrupting work flow, making obscene comments, sexually inappropriate comments, and cursing. Says his name is "Paul Anderson," when clearly he is calling from India. Local phone number shows on caller ID, but when we called the number back, it says "we're sorry, but the magic jack number you are calling is unavailable." He knows my first and last name, clearly a scam. I reported it to the police, called information systems, the phone carrier for the hospital and just so absolutely irate! Something needs to happen to these outsourced, low life scumbags. I don't know, maybe die?
