They could at least leave a message.  That away I would know who is calling and who to call back. Instead I call and it won't let me do anything but tell me I am not authorized to contact this number. I have to Google to find out who might be calling. If this is true, then st. Elizabeth's needs to contact me the correct way and leave me some sort of information on what they would like.

St. Elizabeth Hospital is one big monopoly corporation in NKY.  Just need to inform anyone interested that they have the worst billing department.  My mother passed away in July 2012 and I received two small bills, one for reading of a test performed and one for the actual test.  One bill was sent as a final notice--however, I had never received any prior bills for this particular bill.  Mail was being forwarded to my house, so I can understand if one, maybe two bill attempts didn't arrive--however, I was receiving all other important mail.  Anyway, today both my lawyer and I received a copy of non-payment claim sent to Probate court asking for full payment from the estate. This bill is supposedly for nearly $4000.  Neither of us have received any prior bill stating anywhere near this amount.  I paid the two previous bills which amounted to approximately $50.00.  What is is even "funnier" is that a second sheet was attached to this non-payment claim with a one boxed line indicating my mother's name, an account number, amount due, and a date.  Not even on any sort of official hospital letter head or billing form.  I can't belive the court even accepted it--unless they are trying to scam me and just sent me this very unprofessional piece of paper.  Trust me, I could have easily created a one line table in Microsoft word and created the same thing.
Needless to say, we will be requesting a detailed/itemized bill and Medicare will be contacted to verify that there are no fraud issues.  Payment will not be made at this time, until we discuss this in court.  I will not be threatened by big businesses--$5.00 a month should be your payment for questioning my character/integrity.  This hospital will never have my business again!!!  I will also discourage everyone I know to seek medical care from another provider. And, another sad situation is that I will no longer be a patient with my doctor group--because they are part of the St. Elizabeth Physicans Group--so sad because I have been with them for nearly 20 years.
If St. Elizabeth is ever "dissolved" I might return to my doctor and use thier hospital facilities.
Good luck to others who don't have the option to choose hospital/sdoctors.  Be very careful with St. Elizabeth Hosiptal.

Given all the scams, I understand why you would question this number (as I did). It is legit. It is the billing office of St. Eliz. Healthcare. When I called they had my specific information, which they relayed to me. They were quick to ask for payment, but I told them the bill was just submitted to my insurance company, so they agreed that they would just wait and take me off their call list. Personally, if I really did owe them something, I would ask for it in writing before I would pay over the phone.

St. Elizabeth's billing department - ask them to send you a letter rather than requesting info over the phone, all the info they had on me was incorrect and it sounded like a scam. However, when the letter came, they were just confirming my insurance information.

This is St. E's billing department.  I called back and they had no idea why they called, and had my name incorrect in their system (and my address, date of birth!)  However, after refusing to give info over the phone, (sounded like a scam to me!) they sent a legit letter requesting confirmation of my insurance number, so it's all worked out :)

Or somehow your number is attached to another account.  I just called and my number was attached to the account of someone named "Bob", which is not me.
