A woman has called my home land line 3 times in two days. The first time the machine picked up and you could hear her saying "Can you hear me?". The second time my husband answered and the same woman asked the same question. He said yes and asked if he can help her. She proceeds to start about a Caribbean cruise and my husband interrupts her to inform her that we are on the National Do Not Call Registry and to not call back. She then hangs up on him.  I answered the third call that very same afternoon - it was her with the exact same spiel - "Can you hear me?" followed by "I'm calling about a Caribbean cruise". I very pointedly asked her didn't my husband just this morning tell her not to call. She hung up on me. I dialed the number back and got a recording that says it's not a working number. This is obviously a total scam and an extremely frustrating one at that.

You should sue them!  They have not right to talk to you like that!

I just got a call from this number stating that I was pre-qualified for a trip to vegas and $500. I said i wasnt interested and he said "Pu**y". I said excuse me? He said "your a pu**y". I was like "Ok, goodbye" and he laughs and says "pu**y" and hangs up.

no one there.

A guy from this number left a message on our home machine. He said "I don't think so" in a vaguely threatening response to the answering machine message on our phone. Way Creepy. The Caller ID identified the location being called from as Cincinnati OH.

Local number out of KY? I'm in Arizona. Never answered but if they really are collecting for some Police Fund KY why would I want to give them money?

I would not give a contribution over the phone to anyone you do not know.  I live in the state of
Virginia, so why would I want to give some police department in Kentucky my hard earned
money.  Hate to be bothered by unwanted calls.

I don't want to give those pigs any money!  Forget that!

I saw on the caller ID this number as well.  My ID shows local area call, but it is not a local call.
They need to stop calling and trying to collect money from people trying to make a honest living
and get a real job as well.  If this is the Kentucky State Police they should solicit their own vincinty
where they live.

I received a call from this number this morning.  Caller ID said "Local Area Call".  This is odd since the call came from KY and I live in NC.  I did not answer it.

As if the police need more money.  They are already being paid good money out of our wallets through taxes, not even counting all the money our Government keeps throwing at them for frivolous work.  I'm really sick of them calling all the time.

Theyve called my house at 8:30 am two days in a row.

This number also called our home at 8:11 am on Saturday.....I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message...

I received a call this morning (early for Saturday) around 8:15 a.m.  A man asked for my husband by his first name.  I told him he was not in.  He said he was from the KY State Police. I said, "why are you calling me this early?" and hung up.

This number goes back to a fundraising group in Covington, KY which is near Cincinnati. Since they hide behind "non-profits" they are exempt from the Do Not Call List law.

Caller ID showed this number.  My husband picked the phone up without checking the ID because he thought I was calling. Anyway, the gentleman gave me a name (unfortunately, I don't remember it) and said he was with the Kentucky State Police and it ended up that he wanted a donation to which I very nicely declined.  Later that day, I talked to a friend of mine who said she heard on TV that there was a police donation scam going around. Actually, I don't think any state police do solicitation over the telephone.  Could be legitimate, but doubt it.
