I'm just trying to figure out who these people are...we're on the no call list.  We have no credit cards, we have no auto warranties, we have no investments except employer retirement, we aren't in the job market.  And this has been my phone number for 15 years, so  it's not for someone who used to have this number.  They called and it rang forever.  I didn't answer it because the caller id wasn't known to me.  Tried to call back and it was busy.

CAlled several times over the last few days.  When I answer, no one is there.

Whoever this is knows to hang up before the answering machine gets it.

As who-got-my-money-?  I also donated for years .Then the requests for more donations  for other groups within their group.[About every 5 to 6 weeks.] These people will NOT take NO for an answer!!!
They ask me to mail back the pledged donation as SOON AS I RECIEVED THEIR LETTER.  When I did not get it to them RIGHT AWAY,they called to ask me where it was?? And verified my name and reminded me that I made the Pledge and I had to HONOR it!!! I HAVE NOT MADE ANY MORE DONATIONS!!! they can call me all day long ,I will NOT ANSWER MY PHONE FOR NUMBERS I DO NOT RECONIZE,UNKNOW,PRIVATE OR TOLL FREE. I have CALLER ID and I use it to my advantage. YES I am on the NO CALL LIST.

I believe it is from (OFFICERS or ACTIVE MEMBERS) of the Kentucky State Police Association calling for DONATIONS. They ID themselves "this is so & so WITH the KY. STATE POLICE". I've sent them(or someone) money for many years to support "TROOPER ISLAND" (a place for NEEDY youth to spend a couple of weeks in the summer, riding horses, biking, swimming etc.).  over time, I became OVERWHELMED with CALLS asking me for more and larger amounts of money, sometimes 3-7 times a week,as late as 9:30 at night.   I began receiving calls from not only the Ky. State Police but also the Fraternal Order of Police (or so they said).  While asking questions of 1 of these callers, I found out that my (so called Donation)  was going ALL over the STATE, but NOT being used in the county of MY residence so, I STOPPED altogether. Now, the ID usually reads UNKNOWN CALLER but TODAY The caller stated that his name was "Jeremy", he would give me NO other INFO when I started asking questions, only to quickly say that "he would CALL BACK LATER" and hung up abruptly.

I waited for several seconds for someone to actually get on the line.  Thats a dead give away that it is some sort of automated calling facility.  I hung up as soon as a person came on line.
