After reading most of the above, I just blocked this number too.

They are very persistent and said he was calling from Windows.  He called 3 times.  I told him I knew it was a scam and he tried to convince me it was not.  Thank goodness I know better than to do what they ask.

Called with the Windows line - told him I was driving and could not take the call.  I get calls from this number several times a week but usually screen unknown numbers

Hope no one is falling for this crap out there! Scam artists galore! Got the same call today - told the guy (from India) that I didn't know who he was, hung up, and blocked the number. He actually had the cheek to call back!

Got a call from them today. Told tbem 'No thanks'. Called my local Best Buy, talked to Geek Squad. They say never do they ever call for online support. It is a scam call.

This is a dangerous scam. Never reply or follow their instructions. Contact your disrict attorney. They use many numbers.

The scum are foreigners that want access to your computer through a remote software they will tell you to type into your computer.Then they will collect sensitive info or bank account numbers or put a bot on your computer later on. It is best to tell them to drop dead as they are crooks.

I just received a call from the same number...heavily accented man claiming to be from Geek Support and wanting me to go to their website so they can help me with some virus problems. I knew this was a scam so had fun with the guy, letting him think I was actually doing what he asked, then I suggested he find a more ethical way to make a living other than trying to scam people. He asked why I was wasting his time...my response was because he was wasting mine :)

This "Geek Support" company thinks they will impress you with some website that looks legitimate.  A tip:  if you do not know the  company, NEVER allow them to install an executable program on your computer.  

His second question to me was:  do you do banking or shopping on your computer?  Then he asks me to download an exe file that will give him access to my computer.  I hope you are all smart enough to connect the dots.  These guys are CRIMINALS.  Make no mistake.

Same thing. I get calls at least once a day from this number saying they are from Microsoft and my computer is infected. Tghank you, do not call list, in your diligence to prevent getting these calls.

No. They use hijacked numbers & our useless government won't do anything about it.

I received a call from this number and claimed their is something wrong with my computer.  Can't tell what accent it is.  He was kind of lost for words for someone who is trying to scam me.  Needless to say I just told him my husband is an IT and we don't need his help and hanged up.

yes, I had the same thing.... with a heavy accent, he said the same stuff to me.  Very persistent.  I told him to google his phone number and see what is said about him/them.  Told him to never call again

Sounded like off shore telemarketer center.  Male with Indian accent starts in with how my computers virus protection is insufficient or something along those lines.  I proceeded to tell him I know all about computers and he just didn't hesitate at all and continued his rehearsed speech.  So I told him that he should go to the hot place where people need ice water, and hung up.  

I received a call from this number who claimed he was from "Geek support" and he's calling about getting my computer "running to its peak performance". He then proceeds to tell me to get in front of my computer and go to some website. When I told him that I was not in front of a computer and what is the true nature of his call, he asks when will I be in front of my computer, and how he will guide me on how to download software and apps that will help my computer perform better. Needless to say I hung up on him.

i got a call from this number 8601111190 and was annoyed. Can we track who is this and why are they calling

I have been getting calls from 860-111-1190 number and they say your computer has a problem. Is there a way to track this number and the persons calling?

A woman called from this number claiming I had a Windows computer.  I said that was none of her business.  She claimed she was from Geek Support Live.   Tried calling back this number and was told the number could not be completed as dialed.

Called and told me my windows has been downloading corrupted files. Didn't hesitate to dictate that I close my browser and reboot computer and he would be more than willing to tell me what files to delete. I told him if he wanted I would give him my social security number and my first born child as well and not to call me back.

I have been getting calls from this number for a few weeks now.  It says from China.  They never leave a message and I don't answer incase it is a scam.

For the last few days, I have been receiving calls from the number concerning a supposed reported problem with my browser. Call says it originated in Connecticut?

It called but left no message. Caller ID indicated that tjis call was from China.
