They say they are a collections company.  They continue to call me everyday several times a day.  They just want my info and are not willing to tell me why they are calling.  Rude!

They have been calling my home number twice or three times a day for months.  The first time or two I answered they did not identify themselves and simply demanded payment for a bill that I knew nothing about.  We stopped answering their calls after that.  From I what I have learned, they find homeowners with names similar to the names of individuals with unpaid debts.  They threaten to put a lien on your property unless you pay a debt that is not yours.  They have the worst reputation in the debt collection business, which is saying quite a bit.

They keep calling my daughter at college.  They have no reason to call her about anything.  I want this to stop immediately.

I've had these guys calling me for 2 years! Sometimes multiple times a day. They are a junk debt collector, that use IMO very scum-bag strategies to collect.  In my case, it was someone with the same name that owned the debt.  Yet with 4 times giving them my last 4 social, and 4 times them telling me that I'm not the person they're looking for - the calls continued.
This number is for a company called Wolpoff & Abramson, then they merged with a company called Mann Bracken LLC.  Send a certified letter to them saying to stop calling you, I'd also recommend opeing a BBB complaint online (they are out of the Atlanta, GA branch).  They don't do research, from what I can determine, if you share the name of someone with a debt that they are collecting - then you're guilty, and they feel they can hassle the heck out of you.

I received a call from that very same number. I answer and he asked if this was Dan ____. I asked who is this. They said it was a business matter and needed to confirm my SSN. I refused until the give me who they are and why they are calling. Guy told me have a nice day and hung up. So I called back and go Resurgent Capital Services LP, its a debt collecting agency. Apparently we all owe money to people and didn't know it. HAHAHA

They call and call and call and call and call and call, but they hang up if I answer and don't leave a message if I don't.

Several Calls, in the past couple weeks.  If I answer they hang up, if I don't the dont leave a message

Every time I have asked them to prove what they are telling me ( and I tell them not to print something off a laser printer attempting to make it look official..) they can't.

In the state of california a collection agency can call between 8am and 9pm.. .. Pacific Time, and can be @ssholes to a certain point..

I had calls from this number for a long time.  Then, they stopped.  This morning, before I awakened, there was another call.

They call constantly. We tell them they have the wrong number and continue to question our identity.  We tell them we are not who they are looking for so that shouldn't matter. Give me a break!!!  They will call back again later today and tonight...and tomorrow.....I would really like this to stop!!

They have recently started calling me everyday. They want my address and to confirm my SSN. I don't give them any info and they get pushy. When I ask them what company they represent they just say it is a business and won't identify which one. That is when I hang up. Very rude people on the oter end.

This is a collection agency running under a number of aliases. The Bud Hibbs site has a "Cease & Desist" letter template you can use to temporarily stop the calls, but apparently you have to send it to each collection unit as they call. Also write our particular state's attorney general & the FTC (they have an online submission form at www.ftc.gov) to make them aware of the harrasment you are receiving.
