At 8:20 pm est I answered the phone and for a few seconds there was no response to my hellos. Then a voice said "My mistake, sorry about that" and then silence. The call then ended

Same here. Called my office at 8:15 on a Sunday night. I happened to be in. It seems the voice that says "My mistake; sorry 'bout that" is a recording.
I called back and reached a voice mailbox for "QBC".

I got the exact same call and the recorded voice. This is the second time I got the same call in about a week's time. The call is on my business line about 8:50PM Pacific. It could be on my toll free line, but I won't know until I get my next billing statement. I suspect it's an automated number validation survey, probably to prep a telemarketing list, and maybe to see if a live person answers in the evening.

Automated message at 8:58 PM EST on home office line they left a message on the answering machine..."I have some great news for you - this is Sarah and you might want to sit down for this one." that was as far as I listened before I hit delete.

Call at 8:53pm CST. Called my business Cell. Computer generated voice stating "My mistake; Wrong Number". Received this call previously many times with same message and usually at odd late hours.

We get the calls several times a week from UBC about credit card acceptance. I have ask several times to have our number removed to no avail. We also get them from Direct Business Funding. Same stuff different name.

Received the call at 8:50PM on the 20th of February, 2008. The message said something to the fact that everytime they call, they get my message. Turns out to be a company wanting to set me up with a credit card machine.

I have gotten called by this company at least 12 times, all times of the day, but many late at nite 8-9 pm They say they are UBC credit card services, but I call UBC and they say they don't know about it. I would suggest that all of us call UBC ( 1-800-201-0461 )and tell them to "FIND OUT" who is using their name if it isn't them. I think if they get enough calls bitching at them they will send the authorities to find out who own this phone number.
