I got a call from this number this afternoon on my cell phone. I rarely use my cell phone and have never given the number out to anyone for any purpose other than close friends and family. My number would never be connected to a debt of any kind. They did not leave a message of any kind.

Incorrect. Statute of Limitations is how many years you can actively collect on an account from the date of the last payment. Each state varies. However, it can stay on your credit report 7 years. Companies collecting on accounts that are beyond the Statute of Limitations is subject to a 2,000 fine if they are turned in to the FTC. Please know any payment made on an account outside of the Statute of Limitations and acknowledged it restarts

Called the wrong number. Asked if I knew someone I said no and they argued me that I did know this person!

This is bad information and is obviously written by a debt collection company. The Statute of Limitations does apply to all debts other than a few like student loans, but definitely applies to credit card debts, car loans, etc. The start of the Statute running is the last activity on the card, if a credit card debt, BY THE DEBTOR - either a payment or a charge. Activity such as one debt collection company selling it to another is not action by the DEBTOR. The Statute of Limitations varies by state, from as short as three years with three to six being common, but some states or at least one, has a twenty year statute. The location of the debt collection company does not make that state's Statute apply.
So if you have a debt for which the statute of limitation applies, you do not have to pay and they cannot collect in court - they can sue but you can get it thrown out on a summary judgment motion.

Im betting most of you on here are Rozlin clones, or people who was burned by a debtor, or may be you cant achieve a higher power so you pretend that your debt free and come on here critisizing everyone you feel is beneath you. Grow up, and as for Rozlin, and other collection agencies they sjould all shut down and get more productive line of work, maybe flipping burgers, hmmm...

Statute of limitations only regulates what can be put On your credit report. Debts that are in collections can be collected for the lifetime of the consumer or until the debt is resolved. Collection agencies can help people clear debts are a lower cost (they offer settlements) than if you paid in full with the original company or business. They also collect for 3rd parties such as school districts, landlords, attorney offices etc... Saying they are bottom feeders is ignorant and someone who doesn't know what they are talkig about. In my opinion, a bottom feeder is someone who tries to run from their debts. Its a moral responsibility that some people can't handle.

They called tonight from 215-220-4071. The number is out of PA but they are in Sycamore, PA. They do not belong to the BBB because they are exactly what was described "Bottom Feeders." I have blocked them here. I do not owe any past due creditors so my guess is they are trying to collect from my father who is deceased. Sad, sad, sad!

| Collection Agency!!!! 2011-06-06 21:01:05 Unknown |
These idiots are "bottom feeders", that is, a collection agency that keeps trying to collect debts that CAN NOT be collected by law (statute of limitiations expired), but hope someone will pay anyway. They can't collect legally and they can't sue for collection. They are modern day gansters. Ignore them, do not return any call, do not respond to any mail!!! Address: RFGI (Rozlin Financial Group), PO Box 537, Sycamore, Ill 60178; Tel# is 866-217-9080 and their company tel.# is 815-895-8368.
