received call from this number, said they were Dunn and Bradstreet and they needed to verify information on my company. I told them to send something in the mail and they said ok. I decided to save their number in my phone and route it directly to voice mail. I figured I have my secretary deal with their rsecretary, we'll see if it works or if they leave a message. I still think this could be some kind of scam or fraud but I really didn;t stay on long enough to find out.

This number keeps calling everyday without answering??? I am a patient person but this kind of call that keeps coming everyday with same time like 9am??? if you do answer there's no answer on the other side, CAN SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS??? I can see there are lots of complaints have been posted here, hope someone can stop this annoying calls..please....

This number just called and when I called back it says DMV and a recorded voice says that they are updating their record and we don't need to do anything, and they will call back to collect the data???? what is DMV anyway? in the first place why not answer and ask the data on the first call???

You can get your phone company to block this number. I just had Verizon block 866.266.1906 (these dnb folks were calling me 3x a day every weekday), and that will be in effect for 90 days. I think you can renew it after that.

got a call from asian accented woman demanded to confirm details on a business bearing my name. she refused to say who she was only from d & b.  when i said this was a residence not a business she hung up.  (how did she get my name?)  *69 gave me the phone number and when i immediately called back got recording the d&b was closed for day.  very alarming and suspect.  i never give any information to someone who refuses to identify themselves.

They keep calling but hang up when I answer.  I had a call like this a few months ago and it was someone claiming to be from D&B telling me my business credit report had some suspicious activity on it.  I run a 501 c3 that has a one-week event annually.  My bookkeeper was sitting next to me during the conversation.  There has not been any activity with our banking account in months.  Sounds like they are trying to use scare tactics to get your attention and possibly personal checking or banking information.

Dunn and Bradstreet doesn't employ English as a third language / gutter snipe types. D+B is a classy outfit. The illiterate monkey that called me is gathering personal info for some sort of scam.
My advice, hang up..... any information that you might give will be used against you.

This s**t is getting REAL old! Calling my work several times a day. I have placed my work number(s) and personal numbers on the do not call list. STOP CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A woman with a Caribbean accent called for my husband wanting to confirm that this is a business listing.  Said she was from Dunn and Bradstreet and asking me to confirm the personal information she had about us.  I refused, indicating that I would neither confirm nor deny that this was a business listing.  She said she'd call back to speak with my husband.  I asked her not to call back and indicated we're on DNC registry.  She said this was a permitted "business to business" call.  Ironic that the phone is in my name.  Not sure how my husband's name would even be associated with the listing.

I got # from *69. What I usually do is call back, get connected and then put the call on hold.  At least it costs them a little to be so rude. This time a Felicia from Dunn & Bradstreet answered. I held the receiver about 5 inches above the base unit and dropped it.  I hope it sounded as bad as it does when they hang up on me every afternoon.

yea dunns and bradstreet,if you reginster with them and dont pay to join they call you over and over and over. This come is stupid, just like the bbb. If you dont Joint noone can post s**t bad about you.

Yes, posing as a state agency *IS* indeed, illegal and actionable in a court of law. Make *CERTAIN*, however, that you have someone posing illegally as a state agency, rather than a legitimate business with a similar-sounding name. That will save you deep embarrassment and hassle should you take them to court.

To Len: if this truly is D&B and they are making "pornographic" calls to your residence, this, too, is actionable in court. Throw the book at them.

To all: These idiots have called my business twice (so far) and I haven't been available to answer. They do not leave any voice-mail messages, which tells me that whomever they are, they are not above board.

Three calls today, 1 hour apart. Have been calling me for 1 month now. Never leave a message.

They claim to be from Dunn & Bradstreet - checking to see if our business was effected by Hurricane IKE.   Why?  And they keep calling wanting a lot of information- that D&B would already have in their data.

Just called again and when I answered no one said anything.

they called my business claiming to be dunn and brad street. i asked them to verify addy , and they gave the correct addy for dunn and brad street. so i quickly checked caller id and typed it in, and found this.

i knew 100% it wasnt dunn and brad street since i was already rated for 15+ years for my business. and they never start a call without stating any information and going right into there VERIFY PHONE AND ADDY PLEASE!

phone number 866-226-1906 is making harrasing and pornographic calls repeatedly to my number. can you make it stop???

Calls and Hangs up

this number keeps calling my business along with a bunch of other 800 numbers (one of which is Qwest, they call twice a day!).  GET CALLER ID!  it's totally worth it.  any number that comes up with a 8** prefix i never answer anymore.  it's ALWAYS a solicitation.  they never leave a message.

Calls 2-3 times daily.  No one on other end when I pick up.  I re-dialed the number, it rings and rings, then an operator comes on and says "your call cannot be completed at this time."

checked on another website-they comment that its DNB (Dunns & Bradstreet?)-calls 3 to 4 times a day.

Calls every day, no one on the other end.  Aren't there laws to protect the public from this?

Come on FCC do something----anything!!
