This is BOA Identity Theft Victim's Assistance Unit. They are very helpful. If you are concerned call any BOA number and they will give you this number to call about problems. That's what I did, and I'm so glad because someone had opened an account in my name. Good luck, and please don't ignore these calls!

This number actually is the BofA Identity Theft Victims Unit. My CC with BofA was flagged due to an attempt to transfer funds to another account. They (criminals) had all of my information. This was a few weeks ago, however I got a call from this number for me to call back and then they made sure I got the ID Theft letter, and my new CC with new number.

Received a call from Justin Ling from Bank of America (Delaware).  He said someone who had all my information, except an incorrect address, had applied for a line of credit yesterday.  Didn't ask for any information but said to call 866-231-5147 because someone had significant information about me and I should call the number above -- Victims Assistance Unit, which would in turn communicate alledged identitiy theft to the three credit bureaus.

Said he had called several times over the last several days but did not leave a message--wanted to talk directly.  I had no hang-ups on my answering machine.

Of course I didn't call the number but contacted B of A from number on their web site.  They have no offices in Deleware.
