I was harassed by them for months, I paid off my debt of $614.

I stopped receiving calls from all the collection agencies so I thought everything was okay, until today I checked my credit score. Turns out I paid CFG and assoc. but best buy never got their money and now are demanding over $900 from me.

Got a headache tomorrow to somehow get my money back but its been almost a year now.

They call me at least twice a day from these people they just leave a message not saying who they are actually for and they are from CFG and associates like some lawyer office and that they need to speak with me right away about a matter that may or may not effect me and they need to verify some information and to call them back at 866-234-3455 but the number that shows up on my caller id is always like a local number with my area code and then always a differant number i dont know what they want or why they are calling

After getting several calls from this number (that was unknown to me), I finally one day picked up and spoke with a woman. I asked her who they were and why they were calling me. She said her company name was "CFG & Associates". Turned out that they were trying to reach some woman named Janetta or something like that. I told her that I didn't know anyone by that name, and that my phone number was fairly new. That Jonetta person probably had the phone number before me, and had some unpaid bills.

So I asked the lady from CFG to please stop calling my number. She said she would remove my number from her files. Voila! No more calls from this number ever since.

CFG & Associates is a collection agency. They have a website.
So maybe next time you get a call from this number, pick up and see if they're calling the wrong number/person. They did stop calling my number and I'm satisfied.

They had my name and phone number, but that was the only info they had on me.  Said they were collecting on a Payday Loan someone took out in my name.  Hung up on me several times throughout the ordeal.  Wouldn't provide any relevant info about the claim they were collecting on.  Will probably keep getting calls from them, didn't seem too organized.

Yep, keep getting calls from them. 1-2 of them daily.  The voice-mails go back and forth between "debt collecting" and something about "we've detected fraudulent activity on your account", but always the same call-back number.

gotta call from 412-567-8919 tonite [6/22/2010@18:30 my voice mail took the call. it was pre recorded heres the message:: "hi this is roger from risk analysis im calling that there is fraudulent activity on your account call me back asap at 866-234-3455.

YEP I just got the exact same message. Sounds like the movie phone guy. HI THIS IS ROGER....

Made a deal with Cfg and assoc. to repay a debt. athorized a $100 payment. they took triple that amount and then tell me that I owe more money. They were rude, and threatening me with $1500 in laywers fees along with jail time. They lie, they have no sense of trust.
