foolish fido that can not protect their customers from fraudulent trivia message they say,they rip me off 54 hard earned dollars.may God punish them,i pay them my bills regulary but they are not satisfied until they coboratedwith those fraudstars stealing by style,i no the law will catch up to them very soon through all this s*** we call our network provider who we trusted and gave out all our credit card information to,theycompell us to pay these unwaranted bills becos the law permits them to get our full personal information,if u dont pay they take u to debt colect and that spoils ur record.but this is unfair and painful,i wish the government can punish this legal fraud in telecomunication now,fido disapoints me,i wish i can cancell my contract with them,if i no what dier charges is,i wil cancell my contract.

I have a charge from Rogers for a third party text from 1-866-257-4586.  Rogers can't do anything more than advise me to return text "STOP".  Rather than everyone contact Rogers or Fido, we should contact Cliq Digital AND our local media troubleshooter!

How do I get these people to delete my number ? They cost me a small fortune sending me stupid text messages.

???? Never answered any calls/texts.  Didn't sign up for anything and I now have a $32 charge on my Roger's bill.  Apparently, you can text STOP  to 18662574586 and it's supposed to stop any further texts. How can we prevent any further messages/charges like this coming from other idiots?????

skills2thrill is a total SCAMMM please do not respond to their text, i called them to remove my number and spoke with their agent customer service is really bad and they are really rude will not listen to you or let you speak, i asked to speak with manger she was claiming to be the manger..and when asked to speak with someone abover her she was like im the only person here no else can assit you. i have called rogers they wil do anything...please report this to crtc :http://www.crtc.gc.ca/rapidsccm/register.asp?lang=e and this company should be sued, charged....lets get this company to the media !!!!

Hi: I'm sick to my stomach when I found out that for just about two years this third party company had been skimming money off my Dad's phone account.  My Dad is 80 years old and only takes the phone on the road for emergency purposes. He does not use anything else on the phone and especially texing.  I don't know how on earth Rogers could suggest that somehow my Dad had signed up for such a service.
This is totally absurd!
I have since called the scammers "Mobile Generation" and had them unsuscribe Dad's mobile phone.
I have also terminated my contract with Rogers due to their lack of support in recovering my money.
If anyone can offer me some guidance on exposing this bunch of scammers, I would really appreciate it....

I just got the same bill and run around from Rogers.  I phoned the number provided on my Rogers bill and cancelled.  At least the lady said it was cancelled.  Do you know if they really cancelled your trivia texting?

A valuable lesson for me.  Remember sometimes you go online and see a pop-up says you won an Ipod/Ipad etc. and you need to subscribe by providing your cell phone#?  

Once I provided them my cell phone they text me with a link.  After I clicked that link (there you go) each message they sent me they charged me $3 (14 message in one month = $42, though I didn't read but deleted).  I didn't realize until I receive the bill.  Rogers couldn't do anything to protect me (shame on them).

I called the number myself to unsubsribe immediately. The person on the other end sounds like they are working from home (I heard the voice of a child at 6:15am on Tuesday)

They charge me around $40 for third party txt mssgs plus $11 of HST!! breaks my heart and my wallet cause I'm a student! I visited a local rogers store and basically the Rep told me it has happen to him and it was better just to pay the charge. I got upset and then called Roger's customer service and after 40 minutes of meaningless discussion the rep told me "there was nothing to be done"

Then the "excitement" began, but I got annoyed after a few texts from them so I texted STOP. Just looked at my phone bill. $22 for a couple of stupid messages. Totally scam and rip-off. Got 3 unsolicited texts from 1-866-257-4586, charged $15 on my Rogers business account.  Even through I never signed up for any such service, Rogers says there is no way for them to stop such texts. Apparently someone figured out how to bill my cell number and now no-one seems to be able to stop this nonsense!  Complete bu***hit.  Call your MP and complain, we need much stronger customer legislation to protect consumers from such fraud.

It starts off by you receiving a text msg with a question from 88588 (i think). Now all of the sudden my Fido bills comes & $2 a msg for $16 of something I have no control over. DON'T ANSWER ANY QUESTION BY TEXT TO ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW OR COMING FROM A FUNNY NUMBER. ONCE YOU DO THERE'S NO TURNING BACK. Just call that 1-866-257-4586 from the same cell phone & you automatically get a text back that the texts have stopped. But i think you should still log a complaint with Fido. Going to do that now...read a lot of reviews saying Fido refuses to reverse those charges so maybe waiting to get thru is a waste of time!

Ive got the same thing too. I dont reply to any msgs they've sent me and FIDO still billed me for those msgs.
