I received a look alike Airline ticket to  fly on Us Airlines in the mail free for two for any where in the USA. All I have to do is call 866-265-5945 and they will verify and activate. A $1400.00 value!

Isn,t this against the law? Do debt collectors not have to obey the law. I ran this number, and thanks to this website, that airline ticket is in little pieces in my garbage can.

They have been calling for years for my daughter who lives in California. I live in DC.

I can't use "ignore" because Verizon doesn't provide that service anymore. Too bad! So I've set up my caller ID for 866-265-5945 to read X AFNI and I never pick up the call. I do the same for unwanted solicitors: X TELEFUND, X MONOTRONICS, X LUPUS, X AM LUNG A**. I never answer a call that starts with X and make it a policy to never contribute to organizations that solicit by phone.

I do have to get up and walk over to the phone to check for the X but that helps me with my resolution to lead less sedentary life. Thus I've transformed a former annoyance to a health service and no longer resent the calls because they get me away from the computer chair and moving on to something active I need to be doing: the dishes, pruning the trees, or grabbing the gym bag and getting out of the house. So I win and they lose.

I get calls three to four times a day from this number, 866 2655945  on the caller Id It shows JD MIchaels In.
If it is ANFI why is JD Michael"s In on the caller Id  whats that a cover up so I wont know who it is.
I dont know no JD Michaels so I dont answer it

caller ID says JD Michael's.

Calls come in 2 to 3 times a week.  ID comes up as JD Michael's  IN.  Never leaves a mesage.

Talk to these MORONS and ask them exactly what did you borrow from THEM?????? In the first place you did not borrow any MONEY, you borrowed DEBT which is nothing but note swapping which according to a Supreme Court ruling in 1978 D. Williams VS IRS stated that, "A NOTE whether redeemable or not redeemable can not be used to PAY a debt!"
After you get this point over that you borrowed NOTHING, the ask THEM if THEY were ORIGINAL PARTIES to said DEBT??????? THEY AREN'T, THEY ARE WHAT IS CALLED "THIRD PARTY CLAIMERS," which according to Federal law a third party claimer has NO CLAIM!
THEY are BU***HIT artist bottom feeding SCUM SUCKERS, and don't be afraid to TELL THEM exactly in this manner!
I love screwing with THEM like this, THEY are ALL SCUM SUCKERS, and those that buy YOUR names and phone numbers to call and get you to pay THEM something, anything, make a commission off of what THEY can get YOU to pay! The bigger your debt, the older your debt the bigger commission number there is besides YOUR name and number. It is like anything else in commissions sales, these callers go after the big number first, if THEY land the whale and the big commission, they can take the rest of the day off. This is how it works.
Another thing I used to tell them right off the bat is to take this to court as soon as possible and let a judge decide! THEY won't do it for a few reasons, one, They are THIRD PARTY Claimers, and have no CLAIM if THEy are not original to the debt. Two, it is COSTLY to go to court, they have to hire attorneys who are bigger and much more expensive SCUM SUCKERS than THEY are. If is a CON, and Bluff game.

JD Michael's is what shows up on called id. They never leave a message. Every time they call I filke a complaint with the FCC. Please file a complaint also. They will get fined for calling us (on do not call list) but only if enough of us complain.

Even if you take the settlement they offer, they will not report that to the credit bureaus. They will instead show the remaining balance (after the settlement) as past due. I had to dispute the entry, and they had it deleted from my credit file. Oddly enough, they're still calling me. I'm pretty sure this goes against something. I've half a mind to report them and collect $500. Pretty ironic, considering the remaining balance after the "settlement" was only $71. Is it really worth in, AFNI?

Guy offered to wipe my $50 debt for a BL0WJOB! Are they that cheap these days? Who should I report them to for being so foul?

i've been getting these phone calls for i don't know how long. never a message, nothing. very annoying.  just  read a comment and found out they're are supposed to be debt collectors. they're just jerks and now  that i know what they are i really would like to know who. chicken s**t

Thank you for the contact information.  Tried calling back the 866 265 5945 numerous times to get off their list.  No one ever answered that number.  Was able to get through on your contact number and supposedly am off the list.

I received a call from this number today. No message was left, so I returned the call and spoke to "Mike". He was extremely polite and resolved the issue quickly, deleting my telephone number from their system so that I would not be bothered with calls from them in the future. He was surprisingly very pleasant to deal with. More collectors should be so polite and respectful.....they may actually do some collecting!

These people call me 3 times a day every day. Half of the time the recording hangs up before stating the name of the person they are looking for.

I tried pushing 4 (for "this person does not live at this address") and they keep calling.

I called and spoke to a representative, explained that we are a business and the people they ask for are not any of our employees. She apologized and promised to remove the number from their list.

Needless to say, they still call, 3 times daily.

This exact same thing is happening to me.  Tell AFNI to HIRE SOME DANG AGENTS WITH HUMAN CAPABILITIES.  At least that way they could correct their call list and actually resolves some debts.

This is just simply annoying. Whoever keeps calling has literally called 8-10 times daily for weeks now. I refuse to answer. The one time I did it was an automated voice that cut off and hung up on me. I am alright with ignoring the calls, I just get annoyed with the constant ringing.

I am only visiting and I am getting calls to my friend's land line.  My brother also lives out of sate and he came to visit and he is now receiving calls on my friend's land line....what the F@%&!$^)(#$&^)(!!!

I'm getting sick and tired of these jerks calling 2 or 3 times a day 4 days a week - the voice mail messages cut off after about half of a word.  I finally called from my cell and I'm sure the woman who answered was trying to get me to verify my cell number and if I'd gotten calls on it (I tried blocking using *67 prior to their number, and obviously they've got hack tools in order to bypass the blocking capabilities) - I never let her get beyond saying "have you received calls to 253 ..."  and I thought they'd said "acne" when they answered my question of "what company is this again" - I finally asked how to spell it and she kept trying to get me to verify the cell number which I never let her finish her sentence ever - when she spelled it, I said "thank you" and hung up - I then went to the net and researched them and found they are a bottom feeder collection agency, their primary account is Verizon, and they try to collect on debts that are beyond the state statute of limitations for collections (debts that are over 7 years old and were written off a long time before) - I had received a piece of mail probably from them offering to settle for $50 - I've also read they try to twist people's arms on the phone for their social security numbers, address, credit card number, and so on - NO WAY - NO INFORMATION WILL GO TO THEM - I answered the last call and hit 4 to state the person they're looking for isn't at this address - if they continue, I will be left with no alternative but to threaten them in one way or another (most probably with a huge lawsuit against such a scam company).

They should be sent to jail for harassment.
