Two messages were left.  The first by a man that I frankly could not understand.
The second was left by Steffanie Lee about "an important buisness matter." She said I failed to return the many calls her employees left me and she "would be forced to make a decision about the situation that my affect you (me) in a negative manner."

I have no idea what she is calling about and did not return her call.

They are scammers. Do not give them any information and never, ever settle a debt over the phone. If there is a legitimate claim against you, then you should have received paper (meaning: regular mail) documentation. If you give these morons your personal information you will have your bank accounts depleted and will get put on a "suckers list" and will be called by every scammer out there until the end of time.

I received a call from 866-350-4275 ext 8579. He was calling about some files on his desk that needed an audit and there's an urgent matter and I need to call him back right a way by 8:00am the next morning. This guy's from a collection agency for Capital One. I have a Cap One card but my balance has been zero for 6 months. If this is how Cap One treats there on time paying customers, then I'm closing my account. Somebody got to do something about the harsh messeges that Global is leaving on phones everywhere!

Who are these people?  On my caller ID there was a 416 area code and no number to follow.  Given direction to call back as this was an urgent matter and that I should have a lawyer before calling them back.  When I called back, I was sent into voice mail because "Tahari" was out of the office most of the day.  The message did say that I could speak to a colleague a Charles Saba.  I have been trying to find out who these people are as they indicated they are from Global International yet I could find nothing on them. If the matter was soooooooooooo urgent why have they not called back? Don't understand why I need a lawyer - I havent committed any crime.  Absolutely frustrating and doesnt sound very legit.

this number called for my sister in law and for my father they said they have a file that contains important info; for my dad.  sounds like a forienger could not understand.

When I first received a call from 416 on my caller ID they asked for someone I had never heard of.  Told them they had the wrong number.  Since then they have left numerous harrassing calls on my answering machine.  I did answer again today and told him the same thing.  I didn't know this person, etc.  He began to argue with me....why would this person give us this number..a child at this number said we had the right person, etc.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC this morning.  I asked the man for his number and he gave me 866-350-4275 X 6655 and the company is Global.

CHRIS BICE IS AN A**HOLE!!!! He has lied everytime he has called....telling me he has sent faxes, and talked to some man in the office that he doesn't know the name of about a so called debt that we DON'T have! We have 3 people in our office and the only fax machine is at my desk. LIAR! LIAR! We have called Capital One directly and everything is fine. Just hang up when he calls.

Received a call from a Sachin Bakshi from the Pre Litigation office of Global International.  Regarding my sons account.  Could not reach him because his voicemail box was full.  I knew my son was having problems with Capital One and figured this is the reason for the call.  I asked for his number and said I would have my son call him.  Sachin asked for my son's work number and or cell phone. I did not give it to him.  Since then my son has been getting threatening phone calls mentioning they know he has a Chevy van and other assets.  Very fishy. Smells to high heaven.

Harrassing calls began 6PM (dinner time) left "an urgent message to call Frank at extension 8727.

Called and Frank was unavailab le.  I didn't get the girls name or anything specific about the company and why they wanted to possibly speak with someone I may know.

7:30PM. The next call from someone looking for the person I may or may not know.  I tried to polightly explain that this person doesn't live here and he cut me off and hung up the phone.

7:45 Game on. I called back 866-350-4275 and asked for a supervisor.  Luck would have it that it was the guy who hung up on me Vito Curalli.  After a brief conversation he told me to "enjoy it"

8:00PM Phone call to Michigan State Police post-Rockford filed complaint.

9:30PM. My wife found on line that we are not alone and to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

They said they are from a company called Global. Could that be any more generic?

The individual who called was Ms. James, no first name. Her extension was 6135.

I also get these phone calls, but I never answer them. How or why Global got my info is beyond me. I will NOT answer their phone calls, it's like we are fish and that call is baiting us. That's why it's called "phishing."

My account with Cap One was paid in full  and CLOSED in February 2010, and I was sent 2 separate pieces of mail from Cap One confirming this. I am keeping them in my file forever. I get phone calls from Cap One all the time, which I don't answer. I don't owe anything, and don't want credit with them again.  

Caller ID is so essential these days, we use it for every call we get. A friend long ago told me, "the phone is a tool", you don't have to answer it. They can't mess with us, if they can't talk to us.

If they threaten to sue you, harrass or pretend to be lawyers... That is against the fair debt collectors act and then they should be reported to your attouney generals office under consumer protection. And you have every right to ask for detailed information on the account they are trying to collect on.


Technically you did not sign the account with them. So you don't owe them anything. They bought the account on pennies on the dollar, on the whim that you would pay for it.

Best advice complain to your attourney general's office that they are breaking the FDCA fair debt collectors act.

Ok I kept getting calls from 873-255-9024 and they kept leaving threatening messages that I need to call back at 866-350-4275 ext 8727. I called back and they were looking for some Donna, they claimed they had reached her at my phone before, even though I've had this number for years.

They said they would remove my number, so we'll see how it goes.

But they were very shady, no details on the voice mail except that I needed to call back right away if I did not want them to escalate the situation.

A woman left a message that I had an unresolved issue and to call back.  She was  very angry.  I tried to call back.  I owe no one. I am reporting it to the do not call

I have been getting calls this week from 1 866 350 4275 and each is from someone different. They are very rude and the one yesterday was from a Supervisor (ha ha) Vido Curelli or something like that. If I dont return his call immediately yesterday afternoon, then they will make a decision for me!! Etc Etc.
All of them have been the same type of disturbing calls. It is Capital One, and I am rather surprised that they use a company of "low lights" like this.

very rude, tries to scare people, does not take no or hang ups for an answer.  I hung up on them 5 times in a row, told them to remove us from the call list, and in the afternoon someone new called.

This automated call we received at at 9:30 AM, during the day, and as late as 10:00PM, has one man identifying himself as Craig Mitchell, with Global CC, telling us in a very forceful voice that a serious matter had been referred to them and requiring immediate attention. Due to State and Federal law, he cannot leave a personal message, and for us to call him at 866-350-4275 ext. 1375.
I looked number up on web and found out he is a scam! We shall report him.

Someone from 866-350-4275 calls every day with threatening messages. I registered on the gov.no call list but these calls continue to come 2-3 times a day!  I appreciate the messages on this site: DO NOT ANWER.  I have never answered.

I received several calls for somebody else from this number.  
When I called back, I found out that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection.  
I found there website ( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number.  They told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

They were calling me at least ten times a day if not more. Being frustrated by their call I contacted them and they persuaded me to settle my account with Capital one. Unfortunately, they withdraw an amount that is bigger than I authorized them to take. My mistake. Once they get your bank account information they can do whatever they want to do. I tried to contact them but all the names they were using when contacting me are Generic(Like Alex, James, Justin...). Every one is a supervisor, a manager and etc...If you have a concern they will transfer you to whom they say a manager but you will never talk to him since they always direct you to the voice mail. You will leave a message, and no one is not gonna reply for your voice messages...My advice is DO NOT EVER THINK TO ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER: 1-866 350-4275

They said they were calling for family members of mine that were being sued

got a call from some foreign man, who identified himself as Mr. "something non-understandable" after being hired to represent a company. (name not given).  re: a time sensitive matter and that I needed to call back immediately or they will make a decision for me....

Its a collection agency for Capitol One credit cards.  They called a family friend to  pass along the message to call them.  I haven't checked with my employer yet

I do not have a Capital One Credit Card, nor do I want one.  So, why are they calling me?  I am on the NO Call List for the state of Indiana.  Do I need to report them?
