They have called my husband, me, my mother, my husbands ex wife, my father in law and no telling who else. They say they are calling about my husband having a court date for defrauding a company for 16,000 dollars. They listed a different date every time they called.  We have no such debt. We do not have a court date and are not being sued. I have talked to the court house and the police department. Just freaks me out how they are getting all our relatives information. It's insane.

They've called me from 8665765495 a man saying his name is mr wilburn, then again from 8669036920 lady saying her name is ms batey about a case they are trying to avoid taking to court but they won't send anything in the mail. More than likely a scam. How are they getting our numbers?

They've called me 4 times at work now leaving messages a Mrs Franklin. I had the same people try to do this in Jan 2013 but from Progressive not Providence same M.O. though.  They had my name right the 1st 2 times then got my last name wrong 2 times after.  They even changed their number to 866-576-5495 ext 309 is hers.  I filed an FTC complaint last time and AZ Attorney General, and with my bank.  I did the same now.  It is not illegal to be in debt and thats all they are is debt collectors but if they say they are something else only helping they think that the FDCPA practices dont apply.  If I speak to them I will gladly tell them to please come serve me with papers.

Called from Providence Compliance department. Had my first name but a different last name. Said that they would help me with a case that they are filing in Los Angeles county.
It's a debt sollection company. Don't answer

This company called me from the "Providence finalization department." They said they wanted to speak with me before the matter goes to court. I did not return phone call. Thanks Rick for alerting me that it is a scam. ;)

It's a scam, they are claiming to be helping with a debt. Just hang up on them. This company changes numbers every couple months.
