They keep calling my cell # and no one was talking or leaving the message.i called this # and ask them who they are and why they are calling my cell .The guy from this number wanted to know my name my cell number and address first,.I told the guy my info is none of his business.just tell me what's your reason for calling me on my cell.He hang up on me. I called them again and this time I cursed them out  nonstop and the guy was hitching sir, sir you know profanity is illegal . MY advise when they call DONT be nice. Because they are low life frauds.If u can't curse them put your dog to phone.

Found out who they were, when I did call them back. They are a collection agency. When told them situation they insisted that I come up with a payment.  I them told them to not called back, since I knew what was due & would take of it when employed again.  Now still calling me; they DO NOT care.  This has made me very mad - they are getting paid for doing their job BUT they don't need to hassle us.

Got message at 8:01 looking for someone I never heard of.  Never let it get past the point of "If you don't hang up, you acknowledge you are this person."  Are you kidding!  What idiots.  If I get more calls, I will blocking and reporting.  

This company has to be fraudulent, I receive calls 4-5 times a week. I blocked the number & they use a different one. It's on the caller ID I have returned the call & A**H****S are so rude. I ask who are they calling for since the number is on my caller ID all the time. He demanded my name, phone number & address, none of their business. The guy will not even tell me the name of the company. He said that he can't give me the info if I'm not going to tell him who I am. WTF... So glad for him that I'm unable to reach through the phone. OMG... what job to have.

I worked in collections and I know the laws.  If a client tells you not to call them anymore...you are allowed by Federal Credit Regulations, one more call to them.  If not this is a reportable crime.  This is a scam.

I  HAVE A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH 866-399-6393  - no one comes on the phone - it's supposed to be related to court dates, etc, settlement payments, etc

These people are calling me at least once a day from 866-399-4910 for over a month. The caller ID reads "unavailable". I believe they are looking for my former daughter-in-law. She never lived with us, has been divorced from my son 10 years, is remarried (and divorced) again, so her name is not the same as mine. The call goes into our voice mail and leaves the "If you're not this person, hang up ...". I called back one time and got a voice mail, so I told them they have the wrong number, etc. The calls stopped for a couple of weeks, then started again - daily. Frustrating. DNC is worthless.

robo call for roommate from 4 roommates ago that moved out a lot a years ago. starts off if this isn't so n so then hang up else we presume you are who we want ... BUT THIS GETS INTO MY VOICEMAIL.

this is against the FDCPA law that says  no third party is to learn of a debt.

This company called my office today, and misrepresented themselves as a potential client to our receptionist.  They asked for me by name, even though I have never heard of the person that was on the other end of the line.  When I answered, they claimed that I owe a hospital bill and that I needed to pay it.  Their problem?  I have not been to a hospital in over six years.  Best part, they could not provide me with a hospital or doctor name.  This is not a legitimate business practice, and this company needs to be put out of business for using such shady tactics, especially after all the laws that have been passed to protect consumers from such people.

Continued calls from this number.  We no longer answer but they continue to call numerous times a day.

Continue to get calls from this collection agency, even though it is not us they are trying to contact.  We get at least 2 or 3 calls a day from this number & no longer answer as it does no good to try to talk to them.    Why are these places allowed to harass people?

I have been getting calls from these guys. They said I owed a hospital which treated my child. I asked the name of the hospital and they could not tel me the name The receiver said his name is Greg, when I called back for my account number for the debt he gave me a number. They quoted a date which was a day my child was treated in a hospital in Dallas. I told them I needed to speak with the hospital, we called the hospital and they said we do not owe them anything as our insurance had paid them..  But I have been wary of these people because they call every day and keep threatening to report me to credit bureau.

Received a call just after 8am, after a few rings they hung up and left no message.

These people call for my daughter who no longer lives here but they won't quit calling me.  Isn't this considered harassment???

Rec'd a call from this number and the woman was very rude with me would not tell me who the company was until I identified myself. She was mispronouncing my name so I knew it wasn't someone who knew me. Did not give her any information and hung up. Googled the number and found it was Bay City Credit. Don't know them or how they got my number

These calls are coming from BAY CITY COLLECTIONS. I was informed that I have been turned over to collections for $28.15. Amazing, I have never even heard of the company that they say I owe.

They never lave a message and when you speak to someone they ae very rude.

What they're doing isn't a fraud and it isn't illegal. I'm 3 months late on my loan payments from my bank and, along with a phone call each day from my bank (which I don't answer), I finally got a couple calls from Bay Area Collections. If you're getting calls from this agency and claim you don't know why, I would check out every company that you may owe money to, even if you *think* you don't owe anything. Hospital and doctor visits that were not covered under your insurance (if you have it), is the most common, because sometimes the hospital/whatever doesn't even notify you via mail that this has happened and that you owe them money!!! Crazy... Anyway, here's some more information on this "Bay Area Collection Services".... pretty shady, I'll admit-- because they changed their name like a million times and have a billion numbers and faxes, but I'm like *75%* sure that it's not a fraud, only because I know I owe the bank money. Hope this helps someone.

I've been telling these people for almost two YEARS that I am not the person they are looking for, I have never met the person they are looking for, and have asked to have them correct their records. They have not corrected their database, and they call me DAILY looking for this woman.  If you manage to reach someone to explain that I'm not her, they are rude, have refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor, and again - are still calling me after almost two years.  I cannot give a name for the "caller company", because their message and representatives have actually refused to give me their company name.  It was through this site that I found out who they are.

this number called me looking for the former owner of my new number.they identified themselves as Bay Area collections. I informed the man on the other end of the phone I was NOT the intended person to please remove my number.He was extremely rude to me and wanted to know whether or not I knew this person.I re-iterated I had just moved in the day before, it was a new listing and NO I did NOT know that person.He continued to be VERY verbally hostile to me and then hung up on me while I was trying to tell him to remove my number from their list.Something HAS to be done to protect us from people like this!
