This caller is Hillcrest Davidson they are a predatory collection agency that tries to intimidate people into paying them after one of the low life, unethical alarm monitoring companies, who scam customers into these auto-renew contracts fail to obtain payment for nothing. The alarm monitoring companies often auto -renew contracts for systems that no longer exist and threaten the customer who they are not even providing a service to that if they don't pay out this auto-renewed contract which is providing no service, that they will mark their credit report. They tried this with us but we refused to be bullied and threatened and instructed our bank to stop all payments to them. If you look up reviews on Google for companies like Safe Security in San Ramon and Pinnacle Security you will begin to see a pattern of how these alarm monitoring companies operate. Hillcrest Davidson is just a collection agency that tries to collect from people that these companies have failed to intimidate and threaten. Also read Rip Off Report for Safe Security, San Ramon. You will then start to research these alarm companies further. Just hang up on Hillcrest Davidson if they call you.

The identical experience has happened to me as well.  The calls began a few months ago by first receiving a call that
goes straight to voice mail as a missed call.  The message asks you to call another number that goes to Hillcrest concerning and important legal matter.  This is when things turn ugly;  the crs if rude, abusive...etc.  You are then threatened to have you bank account closed and notifications sent to ALL of you business affairs, i.e: employer, utilities and so on.  You are then told that there is an on going legal procedure that if found guilty you will face granishment and any or all accounts will be ceased. Asked them to provide me with the supporting paper work or the supposed warrent and was hung up on.  At one time a crs was sooo unbelievably rude that he said, "look lady, do me a favor and just hang up."  When I threatened with reporting them I didn't get any more calls until just recently, in the last week.  Oh...they claimed I had defaulted on an Apex account that I told them had been satisfied years ago.  I phoned Apex and they claimed that they do not even have me as ever having an account, which was a bit odd, and that they are not affiliated with Hillcrest.  My personal opinion is that this has to be a scam or some poorly designed way to extort money from some that are already in tough financial times.  I truly hope that they can be stopped!  Maybe a consorted effort among all of that have been harassed will get the point across.  Humm!  Can we say, "class action suit" ?

They have already been in court for violation of the fair debt collections act so look that up. Now they are using phone number spoofing to get people to answer the phone. Ive seen the 8665249844 number come up as china on the cell phone so beware. These people are bottom feeders don't buy into there nonsense. They are a bunch of idiots that can barley speak English. I have detailed notes for myself every time this has company called me. I answer the phone this is _______ this call is being recorded to make sure you don't act like an idiot. It is amazing the change in attitude when the call is being recorded. Have some fun with them I do.

I had an account with Security Networks, a company that Hilcrest and Davidson, Collects for. My account became delinquent with the Security system and according to the contract they can collect the remainder of the contract. I paid 22 months of a 39 month contract at 59.99. Hilcrest and Davidson called me and originally demanded $2,700.00 lump sum payment. I explained I did not have it and he informed me that my credit score was suffering and thati had a 713 credit score and now its a lot lower because of this debt. After a few conversations of them not working with me at all on breaking this up into payments they then offered to reinstate my services with the Security system for $550.00. When I asked for a break down of either ammount they got rude and took the reinstatement off the table and said they would note that I refuse to pay the debt. I informed them multiple times I was not refusing just want not going to pay if I did not receive a break down of the funds. I then had to send them a letter stating that I have made efforts to pay them and they are unwilling to work with me and come up with any resolution. They have threatened my credit score, Lied about my credit score, and treated me like a criminal. Should I sue? What should I do?

Got a call from this company from a guy who stated his  name was Sam Moore. They are attempting to collect for Vision Security who forged my name to a  5 yr contract. The company monitoring the system agreed it was not my signature but Vision Security turned it over to this company. The number is 866-524-9866,

I received threatening calls from this number. They stated I would be taken to court to which I would have to pay in excess of 5000.00. They also demanded I make payment of 700.00 on a service I canceled in writing several months ago due to extreme financial loss and earning capacity. therefore, we are in a hardhip status. However, they threatened that if I dont pay My credit score will drop by 100 points and legal costs will follow. I am now in the process of reporting them to  Atlas General Consumer protection agency.
If you get called from this number  do not fall prey into their hands.

These people are unbelievable.  They call everyday and when you pick up the phone, your on hold with background music.  I've called this company numerous times and told them your client does not have a valid debt.  They blindly do what their client tells them and they don't care how much they harass you.  PS, If Protect America was an honest company to do business with, I wouldn't be in this mess.  This is an Alarm Company scam, and Hillcrest is in bed with them.

Hillcrest Davidson, such upstanding folks.  Their client Pinnacle Security:
State Sues Security Company
Just days after ABC 17 News exposed a shady security company being kicked out of Ashland, the state is taking action.
Last week we the city of Ashland took away Pinnacle Security LLC's business license. City officials tell us they started getting complaints about the company just days after it came to town. Now Attorney General Chris Koster is suing the company. The lawsuit claims the Utah-based company used deception, fraud, false promises and misrepresentation to trick consumers. It goes on to say the door-to-door salesmen lied to customers, telling them Pinnacle had bought out their current alarm company and they were there to "upgrade" the customers' system. The salesmen then allegedly had customers sign a contract with Pinnacle which caused consumers to be charged by Pinnacle and their original company. Victims say the salesmen also tried to bully them into buying a security system. ABC 17 News found the company has complaints in at least 15 other states. They've also been sued by three other attorneys general. Pinnacle settled with the states of New York and Illinois, but the cases in Ohio and Missouri are still open.
A company spokesperson tells us Pinnacle plans to work with those attorneys general to resolve the problems. I you've had a bad experience with Pinnacle Security you can call the attorney general's consumer protection hotline at 1-800-392-8222. And, the news just gets better. 5/3/2011 attorney general has also filed a lawsuit against Pinnacle Security.

Hey, I can top this. I work at a large U.S. Federal agency. Their robocall system called AN OFFICE PHONE THAT IS NOT LISTED IN ANY EASILY ACCESSIBLE DIRECTORY. Of any kind.  You REALLY have to hunt for department numbers for this Federal agency. The recorded message said "This is an attempt to collect a debt. Call back immediately to 866-524-9866". No name. No identification as to what it was about. I actually tried to call them to give them a piece of my mind for interrupting my work - in a Federal building - at a phone with an exchange that is ONLY assigned to this specific agency - to tell them to get the Fed's number the heck out of their files. The person I finally connected with was obviously of limited intelligence and low I.Q. and found it hysterically funny that I was annoyed that they were interrupting my work in the Federal government. It appears that their system robo-calls numbers at random, hoping to frighten someone into coughing up money.

I started receiving calls from these same people (Hillcrest, Davidson & Associates) a couple of months ago.  I do not answer 1-866 numbers accept for this one time.  They tried to tell me I owe for an home alarm security system.  They wouldn't give me any detail info.  Come to find out the (Apex) company that I did get the system from sold my account to another monitoring system (S.A.I.) and they went under so they sold accounts to Hillcrest to try and extort money.  S.A.I. stopped monitoring my system long ago without notice and stopped taking their monthly fee from my bank account so I purchase a system with ADT.  I called back once I got a letter from them saying I owe $855.79.  They couldn't tell me what this amount is for or anything.  I said I will just call S.A.I.  The guy I was speaking with said they are not going to tell me nothing.  So I said I'm just suppose to pay this out of the blue with no explanation.  He said I signed a contract and I said yes with Apex not S.A.I. so the contract is void because they breached the contract.  He then became rude and was cutting me off.  I was getting frustrated and mad because he told me that this will go on my credit report.  Hillcrest buys accounts that default or are not valid and try to collect money.  I'm report them to BBB and Apex and S.A.I. like everyone else has.  I see there are many complaint boards/forums on this and the other alarm companies.  I'm sending a certified letter to collection agency to stop calling me and sending letters.

Hillcrest, Davison & Associates are a debt collector for a company that filed bankruptcy and is no longer in business (Firstline Security).  Don't know why they are trying to collect for a company that is no longer in business but I do know if you have received letters or phone calls from them and you want it to stop, send them a letter of CEASE AND DESIST and demand that they show you where and how you owe THEM the money and to stop calling you and your friends/relatives/business or you will sue.  This is all under the Fair Credit Act Law.  They have to stop calling you and send all information to you in writing.  Of course if they do not prove that you owe the money in 30 days from the letter then they are to remove it from your credit report. You won't hear from them again if you send them the CEASE & DESIST letter (you can find a copy of it on Google) and send it both Certified and regular mail.  If you do continue to hear from them even after they receive the letter certified, report them and file a harassment lawsuit.

Fistline Security is out of business and filed for bankruptcy.  They are trying to get debts from those who refused to pay for services they were not receiving with Firstline.  They sold the contracts off to other locations and took your money and didn't give you any security service.   Send them a CEASE and DESIST Letter and tell them not to bother you any more and by law they have to stop calling you or you can sue them.
