They dial my number and never say anything, they just hang up after four seconds.

calls, no message  and then teh unavauilable follws - seems tha tthis is a pattern. Have put a complain with FTC, of course my number is on DNC. As for cll blockers - most cell companies that I've been with want $5.00 a month, per line, to do so. Makes me wonder if the cell companies are in cahoots with these wiseacres.

I was calling 1-800-431-0799 Estate Preservation.Inc on 1/8/09.Message was to call 101515800. I called the numumber but it was not working number.
Does anybody know the phone number for above company. I really apprecaite it.

I got a call from this number and the person on the line asked me what i was wearing. I told him i was just wearing a tube sock on my penis because i was masturbating. Then i told him that i thought his voice was sexy and that he should touch himself too AND HE DID!

So we talked dirty to eachother and came at the same time.

this is a scam. i am surprised they are getting away with it. first they call you from a tollfree number and hangup. when u return the call, they enroll you for a "locator service" for $9.99 per month. the part that sucks is they charge it to your phone company and you get it on your phone bill from then on every month. beware and if someone knows what we can do about this scam, pls post here

unknown name on caller id...this time a woman said, oh wrong number and hung up...other times no message, or they dont say anything ..very irritating and at all hours. why is there not a person connected to this number to report him/her??

I HATE THESE PEOPLE!! they call all the time EVERYDAY! any TIME! Its sooo annoying!

Received many calls from this number the other night . 6:53pm,7:55pm, 8:31pm, 8:53pm,9:19pm,9:30pm,9:39pm.

got a missed call on my cell from this number. I called it back but blocked my number and a recording came on that said, something about press any number and receive a text message, i hung up right away.  who the hell is this??

I started getting sales calls on my cell a week ago and now my damn phone is ringing off the hook from this number. The worst part is that no one is ever on the line...seems like a scam to me. I am going to change my number soon if this keeps up. I am on the Do Not Call list and have filed complaints w the FCC since sales calls to cell phones are illegal. I advise everyone to do the same and stop calls like this.

i just got a call from this number on my cell phone...i didn't bother to pick it up because i didn't know who it's from.  i've also been getting a lot of phone calls from "unavailable."  i might just pick up next time and yell STOP CALLING ME and see if my problem is solved.

just got a call from this number I didn't answer it because I was taking a test for school.  Shortly after I "missed" this call I had another call from an unknown number.  Least to say I didn't answer that call either.  Irritating.

I get frequent calls from this number..including early on Sunday mornings.  I've never answered but have caller ID and lucky me..I'm usually not home. This morning I received a call form 800-772-1413..researched and found it to belong to Portfolio Recovery.  Then a short time later received a call from 866-551-6971.  Did a review of caller ID calls,  and found that this has been a pattern....first one...then the other...  Makes me wonder if this is a scam..if you don't answer to one..then maybe will answer the other.  At the very least...perhaps they hope to "confirm" a phone number...or person.

Same as everyone else. They called and nobody said anything. I am thinking they are trying to find cell phone numbers. ;)Not sure what kind of fraud they are attempting.

I got a call at 9:46pm (EST) last night - I was so pissed because they called 3 more times. Our family/friends know that if they need to call us after 9pm to call the cell phones so that it doesn't wake up our daughter. Needless to say, our 2 year old was up screaming when the first call was made to our home. She ended up not going back to bed until well after midnight.

I keep getting this number on my phone and when I call to see who it is I get a message saying call Nationwide 10-15-15-800!! What is this? Who is this??

Repeated calls.  This time someone spoke, couldnt understand a word he said.  He sounded like he just got off his camel.  I was a telemarketing manager for many years.  I never hired anyone who could not be understood on the phone.

Called twice on Saturday night 10/27/07 after 8:00pm.  Called again at 4:00 on Sunday 10/28/07.  Asked today to be taken off list and transferred to a manager.  They hung up on me.

We get calls just about every day from this number.  One time they spoke and said they wanted to do a survey.  But the last few times they don't say anything and hang up.  There has to be a way to report this, right?

This number called at 6:41pm on 11/13/2007. When I said, "Hello", a woman responded with, "Good choice" and laughed and hung up on me.  Talk about creepy!  We are on the do not call list.  I called the number back and received a message stating that the number was no longer in service and to call 101515800.

It called me today and it said, the # you have has new information. Then it says to push any key and i will recieve a text message with more information.(just like seen above). I hung up.

I got a call twice from the phone number 866-551-6971 today. I answered the second time and they immediately said that they have the wrong number. I called verizion and they said they are aware of the problem and have been unsuccessful with locating the origin of the phone number. They gave me two tips-- and Ill pass them on you all of you-- 1. DO not answer your phone, if you do they can hack into your phone account if you stay on the line long enough for them to get the information. 2. register your phone number with the government's national DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Go to www.donotcall.gov and it is super easy, free and fast -- I registered my home phone as well and for the past 3 weeks have not gotten a single irritating call!! Pass this on!! Good luck!!
