solicitation for "cancer survivors"

Got a call said he was an attorney and was going to sue for charges that was not mine. What they did was to look up anybody with the same name as the person they are looking  who owes the charge and then try to have innocent people pay someone else bill. By the way he was not an attorney but a collection agency, now that in it self is illegal to say you are someone you are not!!!  I hope someone takes them to court.

We get these calls at least once a day, EVEN on SUNDAY!!!!  We never answer and all it says is unknown caller.  What the hell is this?!?! I am so glad we have caller ID and don't really have to answer the phone. As my husband says, "if they can't leave a message, F--- em."

Once again calling here too... I do not pick up but google everytime I get a call I don't know.... when is this DO NOT CALL LIST ever gonna work? I sure can get NUMEROUS companies on a list and egt them in trouble.. but I guess it doesn't work.. DANG if I had a dollar for every call.. I WOULD BE RICH

I have received 25 calls since Dec. 1, 2007.  I wish there was a way to program the phone company to cut off these calls.

Calls all the time.  Does not leave message.  I called their number back and got a recording of all the "good deeds" they do.  I leave them a voice message with my name and phone number and told them not to call anymore.  We will see if it works!

they called numerous times; no message and hang up when answering machine comes on!  Very irritating.  who is calling?   i'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST:  in ENGLISH that means DO NOTTTTTT CALL!!!!!!!!

They called here and when i answered the phone nobody was there. Then i heard a click. The problem i have with them calling is i have my number registered with the do not call list. How am i supposed to get them to stop calling when there is never anyone on there to talk to?? Grrrr

No one on the phone when answered. They called 5:05PM 12-18-07

They called on 12/15 at 1:32PM.  From caller Id they've called many times this week when I wasn't home.  This time a lady answered.  She said she was Cancer Fund of American.  i've checked them out before and told her to take me off their calling list.  She said, "Why, have we done something wrong?".  I just repeated to take me off her list and hung up.

When I answer the phone I hear conversation in the background but when I give my name they hang up.

Got a call from this number left on my voicemail. Just dead air, no person, no message, nothing. Glad for sites like this that can spot such things as frauds! Interesting as my number's on the national do-not-call list.

I get a call about every evening from 8665903188.  They do not speak when you answer the phone and they do not leave a message. Who is this and how did they get my number as it is a new number?

They just called us now.  We didn't pick up, and they did not leave a message

December-3-2007. Answered the phone and they asked for the previous owner of the house which hasn't lived here for over 5 years. This is the second time they called tonight, the first call number was 866-319-1118. Told them the same thing when they asked about the previous owner and then they persisted to call from the 3188 number. The funny thing is that my number isn't listed under the previous owner's name considering I've only had this number for two years and the phone company informed me that my number is brand new and never previously used...So my question is how did they acquire my number although asking for the previous owner when my number is clearly labeled with my name?

WHO THE HELL IS THIS!?  THEY CALL ALMOST EVERY DAY, USUALLY WHEN I'M OCCUPIED DOING OTHER THINGS WITH MY 5-MONTH-OLD AND DON'T HAVE THE TIME OR PATIENCE TO ANSWER THE PHONE AND NO ONE IS EVER THERE!!!!

Maybe you have heard of FAQ (frequently asked questions).  There is also FAC (frequently annoying callers).  One such FAC appears in our Caller ID as "Toll Free 866-590-3188"  We never answer and always let it go to the message recorder. They never leave a message.

Called on 11/5/07 @ 8:25 pm AZ time.  Answered on third ring, but there was just a click on the line...so I hung up.

This is pretty much a fraud. Company is Cancer Fund of America.  Go to this link http://charityreports.bbb.org/Public/Report.aspx?CharityID=1235 from the Better Business Bureau and see that they do not meet ANY of the 20 standards for charity accountability. They want donations, but do not give them any money because your money will be wasted and will not go to the needy, just in the pockets of the people in the organization. Don't know how these people live with themselves.
