Received a call from 866-627-8179, which they had tried several times but never left a message, so I answered the call today. The gentlemen on the line knew my first name and asked me when a good time was for them to come out and service my HVAC. When I asked what company he was calling from, since he did not mention it to begin with, he hung up.
When I called the number back, it was part of my old home owners warranty company, but they had never serviced my HVAC. I instructed them to remove my number immediatly.

The number 866-627-8197 is not a real telephone number. Its a number use by the U.S. Department of Labor to call receipient of Federal Workers' Compensation Program. The Claim Examiner calls your cell phone or home phone for two reasons...to GPS your location and to try to have you incriminate yourself over the phone so you could loose your benefits. The U.S. Code and C.F.R. specifically state that DOL\FECA\OWCP must commnicate by snailmail only.
