We just got a call from this number.

I go a call from this number, they would not give me any information about the location of there business. They claimed there is a legal matter in regards to my SSN, from a pay day loan place that I have never been to. The say they are a legal dept. for Unsecure Loans. I asked for the supervisor and every time IU called the person on the phone said he was the supervisor. All they wanted was information from me but was not willing to give me information. I belive this is a scam!!!

These  people called me too AND called my employer saying he was Sgt. Shawn Miller frm a legal dept and needed me or my lawyer to call urgently or else he couldn't stop what was coming down upon me. I called and he was calling me by my married name. I'm divorced and took back my maiden name. He read off my SSN  and asked me to verify it. I told him all he wanted was my personal informaton and I wasn't giving it to him. He hung up on me. I called him back and told him not to call me or my employer. He said he was going to call them again tomorrow. I'm going to turn his phone number in to the FTC.

i keep getting a call too. the person is east indian and lots of background noise. says i need to call him back or else basically!! very annoying. they call me at work too. i hung up on them repeatedly and they stopped calling for a while. but eventually they start in again. what can i do. they seem to have my information, but won't give me any. they just want money to stop people from coming and getting me!

I recieved a call like this also.  They will not give u any info but wants u to give them all of urs.  Calls back to back and even hanging up on me a few times ...just to call back.. The name that they are  using is my married name.  I have been divorced for 5 years and this payday loan they say I owe is in this name and said it was taken out last year.  The address they are using I have not lived at in abt 6 years.  This has to be a scam.  Not giving any information out to them!

Where are you coming from?  I do not think that you get it.  That is a SCAM and why should we give any information at all to those SCAM ARTISTS.  They keep calling and harrassing people when we tell them not to call again and then they call our references which is an invasion of our privacy.  Somehow these SCAMMERS got our information online.  I reported them to the Do Not Call List, The FTC, and Better Business Bureau.  If you want to give them all your information then go right ahead and I hope they SCAM you.

This number keeps calling my job, they leave messages on the main voice mail and my voice mail saying that something is against my social security number and that I need to call back or else and that they can't stop what is going to happen to me unless I call them back. I will not call them back because they do not provide any information about who they are, where they are from, or what they are calling about. They should not be allowed to call a persons place of work period!

I think Sherry is a worker for this company.  Read that again, it barely makes sense.  Just like their broken English. Sherry if you are so legal, please supply everyone with the information we request.  I've asked for the accounting information and you can't even supply that.  UNDER FDCPA laws, you must provide that. I'm pretty certain that you are just another one of the bottom feeding collection agencies. You buy a debt that has been paid or written off by the pay day loan companies and then try to scare people in to paying you money.  It is a scam.  Get over yourselves.  Also, provide information required by law, like who you are and what you are collecting for.  I have had to deal with several of these collectors lately and I've had.  I've never been summoned to court as you all say I'm going to be.  I can deal with your laughable phone etiquette.  I kind of find it a sport now to see how quickly I can get your rep to hang up on me.  The golden ticket is when I keep calling you guys back and get threatened with you guys reporting ME for harrassment. My wife has gotten these calls also and said they wanted their money. They would not give us information as to where they were at or what company they worked for. They threatened my wife that they would take her to court and have her arrested at her job site. We finally to the police station and reported them and gave them all the numbers they were calling from. They stopped the annoying calls and it's been two months now. well, it started again but this time I know what to do. This is nothing but a scam and don't fall for it. All they want is your money and info about you so be careful. They all have American names but they all sound like their from India. The one that called today said his name was Charles Anderson and he had an Indian accent.

you call my house and ask for someone else and i dont have a loan with anyone . you have called me several times and you need to stop you are harrassing  me for someone else that has no loan with you never . if you call me i am going to talk to an atty. to sue for harrassing me ty DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN

robert davis...1866-656-7159 federal banking violations..blah..blah.. oh this beauty says they make people unhappy all the time because they are trying to get money that was borrowed fraudulantly..who are they kidding..... they give your full ss number and partial banking info... 'm going to close my bank acct and if these a**--- think they can get credit off of my ss number then good luck to THEM!!! i am soooooooo sick of them

Sherry you are full of crap! Your "company" just called my job 6 times in a row and when i asked them to stop harrasing me. They said that they would call me "all the day" Learn to speak English. Then they said that they wanted to speak with my supervisor and i said no. They started calling and hanging up. No one is scared of you. You just need to give us what we are asking for which is information and we can go to court but you won't do that cause this is a SCAM!!! Oh by the way i have every call recorded and I WILL SUE YOU!!!!

For at least the last four years, possibly longer, a group has been calling former payday loan applicants advising them that they have defrauded a bank and are now being sued for non-payment of a loan.  The callers will claim to be calling on behalf of an attorney's office (name varies), the Dept. of Law and Investigation, ACS, or other similar combinations below:

You will be threatened with arrest, a costly trial and possibly worse.  In no shape, way or form can you be arrested for non-payment on a consumer debt.  Do not believe these threats, as they are without merit and cannot be carried out in the manner they allege.

They have been previously fined over $1.3 million for various violations.  They have been known to use phone banks in India to make their calls, which more or less coincides with the difficult to understand accent many of us detect when we are contacted.

On July 15th, 2010 a Public Awareness Bulletin was sent out by Missouri Information Analysis Center.  

"..received reports from individuals in Ohio and Illinois reference suspicious telephone calls they received. In both instances, the callers are reporting that a voicemail is received from a man, with a Middle Eastern accent, identifying himself as an officer working with the Financial Crimes Unit.  The message indicates that the reason for the call concerns a loan made by the receiver or someone in the receiver's family. The voicemail requests that a return call be made and a telephone number is provided. When a return call is made, the caller is asked to provide personal identifying information such as their date of birth and social security number.

Reports indicate that the calls are frequent and persistent and that they even threaten arrest or legal action if information or money is not provided. It appears that the individuals making these calls may have access to some records connecting individuals and their relatives.  Missouri does not have a Financial Crimes Unit and all indications are that this is a fictitious agency.
