Hello everyone, I've been reading all these comments on InfoCision and its telemarketers. I do not blame any of you for being angry at these phone calls. I recently quit InfoCision after working there for a year. I want to tell all of you that I, as well as my former co-workers, don't want to harrass you, all of us, including I, needed to make a living. We have to follow scripts or we get written up, we have to ask for a donation 2 times, or we get in trouble for that too. The phone calls are being listened to. We're on an automatic dialer. Also, you get written up for not performing well, or if you're not getting enough donations and you're not making above a .80 or 1.0 performance. We don't want to harrass anyone. I personally, wasn't doing well at InfoCision, my performance was very low because I'm very nice, not assertive and I'm shy. I got written up many times because my performance was very low, or I wasn't following the script. I was probably going to get fired for getting written up many times for not performing well. So I quit before I could get fired. It's a shame especially in this economy. I'm also very sensitive, and I felt like crying everytime somebody yelled at me on the phone for calling them or they called me names for calling them, and the worst thing was, I couldn't tell them how I felt because I would get in trouble. I took it personally when someone yelled at me, because they don't know how nice I am and that I was just following the rules and making a living. So please, anyone annoyed by these calls, don't take it out on the telemarketers, they are just doing what they are told to do, although they don't want to do it. I would never work for InfoCision again, or for another telemarketing company. I didn't feel appreciated there nor did I get the support I needed. The pay was bad too. I stayed there for as long as I did because my husband doesn't make much either. But finally my husband allowed me to quit. I'm currently looking for another job, I'm now dependent on the money my husband makes so I can't spend much money either because of that, but I'd rather not spend much money then make minimum wage calling people up and getting yelled out for something I don't mean to do. Despite having to cut back on spending and eating out now, I'm glad I quit InfoCision. I was dreading that job everyday, I couldn't sit there for 8 hours a day and have people yell at me and being on the verge of tears. I couldn't take the supervisors being on my case about my low performance or not following the script. And it got really hard when other people around me where perfoming better than I was, and I was one of the very few people in the room whose performance was unsavory. I couldn't handle it, it's such a relief now to have quit, even though I'm currently jobless. I know, it says a lot especially with this economy. Telemarketing and sales isn't for me. Please, anyone desparate for a job, don't work for InfoCision, you're better off still looking. I learned my lesson, I shouldn't have taken the job at InfoCision and still looked if I knew how bad and depressing it was going to be. I am a college graduate, most of my former co-workers are educated just to let you know. I miss my co-workers but it was time to go.  Thank you for your time everyone, I'm so sorry for venting. And I'm so sorry for making anyone very upset when I was a telemarketer calling you up. We're all sorry. Have a good day.

I am elderly and when the phone rings, it scares me. These people have been calling for months and I have asked them to take my name off their list but to no avail. My number is on the "do not call" list, but I think this is a solitation for donations, so I suppose that does not matter.

Have been getting calls from this number once or twice a day for a few weeks now. Finally got sick of it and called it back. They offer this number to speak with a representative: 866-582-7634. They asked my first and last name, gave them my first, but refused to give them my last name, then requested to be removed from the calling list. We'll see if the calls stop.

Non profit and political calls are exempt from the Federal and State Do Not Call List.

Answer the phone and be sure to tell the caller to immediately add you to their internal do not call list.

This works!!

I got one of these calls.
It was a female telemarketer,so I asked her, what color panties are you wearing?
She said, excuse me? , and then hung up.

By the way, Infocision Telemarketing out of Akron,Ohio is the outfit that's making these calls.

This company STINKS and the pay is  TERRIBLE.   The supervisors think they are GOD.  GET THOSE VOLUNTERS. And the biggest laugh they listen to every call,  You are being JUDGED ,  because you will not get that raise.   They will find an excuse every time.   3 years and I am still at  minimum wage.    Work those  weekends  people.   This job lacks the respectability   you all deserve.   I am telling you  this job is not worth the sacrifice you make every weekend.   You lose your self- respect doing this to people,  because they do not respect you as an individual.

I have been getting calls day and night with a dial tone, then I hear a phone ringing twice, right afterwards a recorded message states loudly "if you need help please hang up and dial your operator."

The phone number from where they are calling from is: 888-790-2747

I don't know why they keep calling. I don't have time to donate to their Autism cause b/c I'm busy raising an autistic child of my own. I told them that our child has autism and you'd think they'd have enough sense to leave me alone. They have called at least 20x this month. I'm being sarcastic, but my child is the one who needs help, why doesn't Wings of Autism Hope send support over to us?

Telling them not to call does not help one bit.  They do not understand the words I CAN"T HELP or NO or DO NOT CALL AGAIN.  I wish they would get a life and leave me alone.

Hey Steve Brubaker, how about sending me the money you owe me.  I've requested the full amount of my final paycheck for 21 days now, and am still waiting.  You are a multi million dollar company.  You get your money from these 'charities' your employees call for, so how about paying me my little $75.  Your 'Christian' behavior is showing.

the National Do Not Call List does not apply to non profit ogranizations, nor are they obligated to appear on your caller id.  All you can to is tell them to remove you from their list, and wait to verify the info (name and number), then be done with them.

I worked for Infocision and I can tell you that you are on an automatic dialer.  The employees are monitored to make sure they ask you to mail letters twice, and, depending on your status on the script (past volunteer, donor or prospect) you will be asked for a donation. You have to be destitute, lost a loved one within four months, or been through a catastrophic event, to allow a volunteer recruiter to end the call.  Calls are monitored by Akron, floor managers and regular manager.  Not following script can get you sent home or fired. I quit after advising them that I would be attending my daughter's gratuation from Boot Camp.  I gave 2 months notice.  The manager insisted that I pull 2 double shifts and get back to work on one of my days off.  I advised that this would not be possible, as I would be too tired to drive for 9 hours.  She told me that I would then be in danger of loosing my job,or being put on part time and would be reprimanded.  This was unacceptable to me, as my daughter will, in all liklihood be shipped out within the next 3 to 6 months, and I feel that the least they could have done was to wish me well and let me go.  They are not only not a Christian based company, but they do not support the troops or their families, which is obvious.  I can tell you all that you need to ask to be put on Infocision's Do Not Call list and wait to verify information before hanging up, or they will just keep hitting the call back button.

This is insane. These people have called me CONSTANTLY for over a month. I have Comcast digital voice, which allows me to block up to 12 numbers. This is the first number that actually will not let me block it! As a day sleeper, you can imagine the aggravation. When they called me again just now, I read them the riot act and told them that they are hereby on notice that I am requesting to be removed from their calling list, and that if I get another call from them, I will file a complaint with the FTC. Then I hung up. I tried to call that number upthread for Gretchen but only got her voicemail. I wish I had an autodialer to call her damned number over and over again, all day long, to see how she likes it. Or call her up and blow an airhorn in her ear. Do Not Call should mean exactly that, even for non-profits. If I want to give money to a group, then I will do so without harassment. DO. NOT. CALL. (end of rant)

I've been receiving these calls since April 2008.
Today, thanks to the Winfield, Alabama, police investigator, I have another number for the Autism Foundation Wings of Hope: 866-582-7634. It takes about half an hour for them to answer but they're paying for it.They are SUPPOSEDLY a nonprofit, but I consider them otherwise.
Reporting them to the FTC Do Not Call has not been helpful.
If I get anymore calls, I will be contacting an attorney to file for legal compensation - about $10,000.00 per call in Alabama for harrassing communications!

Infocision
Specializes in telemarketing services in nonprofit fundraising, direct-to-consumer sales and business-to-business applications

The above is taken from Infocision's web site. Apparently they hire people to work from home calling on behalf of any number of fundraising agencies.  Thus, it could be anyone.  It's best to just not answer.  I prefer to send my money directly agencies in my local area.
