Call comes up as Unknown. Caller said (East Indian Accent) that "I am calling with Sprint and we are going to send you a cell phone at no charge." I told her NO, I do not authorize any charge to my account!" and she said "Is there anyone else at your home who would need a cell phone" and I said "NO, again - I authorize NO charges to my account" and she hung up. What can we do to report them?
When I tried to call back, it was a fax.

I got the first telemarketing call in a long time. Michael Clark claimed to be calling directly from the Sprint office, not from a call center. The connection quality was horrible - I asked if he was on a Sprint network, but he said no.
He gladly provided his name and address to prove that he made the call and was legitimate. I can't find Sprint's address on their home page to verify.
The address he gave me was:
2001 Edmund Halley Drive
Reston, VA 20191
Michael Clark hung up on me after I informed him that we are on the do not call list. Most telemarketers figure out that you are going to report them and hang up before giving out their information. He must be really desperate to sell me a cell phone.
Why anyone would use the sprint network that doesn't provide a tenth of the coverage of all other carriers is beyond me...
I reported them to the FTC, so hopefully, they'll follow through.

Called me at 5:03 pm. Came up unavailable. I've tried to get off that Sprint list, but it's impossible.

I am guessing calls are originating from another country as the person I spoke with and thier 'supervisor' had incredibly heavy accents and insisted they needed my date of birth and ss # to lock the 'free' phone they were sending me so only I could unlock it. After I gave them bogus information so they could run a credit check to verify my name, DOB and address (attached to my address? right.) they told me I would get a follow up call within 30 minutes and would be provided a FAX number to fax a copy of my state identification or passport. Am currently waiting for the call so I can fax them a picture of my dog.

Got a call from 1-866-671-6268; Middle Eastern guy named Jack. Said my phone number was selected for a new Sprint phone. Asked him how he got my number and he said it is from the neghborhood selection; Asked him what neighborhood and he hung up on me. Minutes earlier, I got a call from 1-770-408-0464 - maybe they are related. Both lines were loud and call center oriented. I HATE THEM.

They called yesterday saying that they were Sprint, and then called again today saying that they were T-Mobile...

I just got a call from 866-671-6268. The woman, who I beleive was from India, said something like I was selected to receive a free "T-mobile" phone. I told that I was on the "Do-Not-Call" registry, and wanted to talk to her supervisor. She hung up on me.
Dialed *69 and got the 866-671-6268 number. Called it. Seems to be either a fax line or modem.

I'm getting so tired of these a**holes calling. I don't pick up the phone, but I was just wondering who they were. Well, I guess I know now. Those persistant bastards.

I've had a few people come to the library in which I work, requesting to fax a copy of their driver's license or State ID to the number above. The faxes never go through. Why people are willing to give up a copy of their picture ID to an unknown entity in the first place, just for a free phone, I do not know.
