They know your name because of your school records. Your school has paid them to get people to call you to donate money to the university you graduated from. Even if you are on a DO NOT CALL list, it does not apply to schools because it is a nonprofit.

They called asking me to donate to my school. Why would anyone donate money to a school over the phone? It's also an invasion of privacy. How do they know my name? And where I went to school? If this doesn't creep you out, I don't know what does. DO NOT ANSWER. IF someone is trying to reach you, they will get a hold of you by leaving a voicemail.

I've been getting calls from this number everyday for the last couple of weeks . I usually dont answer numbers that i dont know but this number started to creep me out because they would never leave a voice mail.Thanks to everyone else's comments I know not to answer.

I finally answered theis # after seeing it on caller ID several times. The girl knew my name and the College I attended. As expected, she was looking for "scholarshp money for deserving students." I told her no one gave me scholarship money and I wasn't giving any to anyone.

got 2 calls from this toll free number and after reading the other comments realize was receiving calls from rapid city, Iowa before that...so think its clear that all from this RUFFALO guy and we should ALL use the info given by someone else here (thank you sir or madam) with his contact info/phone number and start bugging him with calls late night as he has done to us...

Just got a call for one of the pastors(this is a church), but he didn't have the name quite right. I called the number back and it was a recording: Ruffalo Cody, providing fundraising services for nonprofit organizations... specializing in fundraising for colleges/universities, arts and cultural, health care providers.... The recording allowed me to leave a message to be removed from their database (put on their DO NOT CALL list), which I did.

They call many times a day and tie up my answering machine with many dial-tone hangups a day. I answered, they asked for my husband by name, I asked who was calling and they told me Diocese of Oakland, then hung up on me. Very strange...
