i keep getting these text messages saying i need to call to resolve this alert . . i text back STOP yet they keep texting me. I have NO account with a City Credit Union

I also got a text from a city credt union asking me to contact 18668204133 to resolve an issue. like Amy    I do not belong to any city credit unions.

I have gotten several text msgs from this number today that I have just deleted since I have a pay as you go phone... I'm not payin for a text that I don't know the number that it's from!!  I called it from my house phone and it was an automated thing where they asked me to input my credit card # to remove a hold thats on my card... talk about a scam!!!! I do NOT have ANY credit cards...

My daughter's cell phone has been getting constant texts from these people (she's a minor and of course has no credit cards, etc.).  We've tried calling back, but can't get a person on the line.  Any contact information is appreciated.

This is a scam to steal your identity and credit card information. Don't waste your time calling them because their system is automated and there's no one to talk to. You all need to register your phone numbers with the FTC's Do-Not-Call List, and then file a complaint on the FTC website each time someone like this texts or calls you. Complaining about it on a Internet site isn't going to fix the problem, but if enough of us complain the FTC should do their job and shut down these Fraudsters.

This phone number sent me a text that only included an attachment. I have an android smartphone and did not download it for a fear of a virus. DON'T DOWNLOAD THE ATTACHMENT.

I too have received a text message from 18668204133@citycu.org. You are receiving this message to reply to an urgent alert.  I have no contacts with this org and would like for it to STOP.

DO NOT call from your cell
These #'s charge ur account 9.99 a month if you "activate" this scam. The worst part is that there is no way to stop them. Just delete or text back STOP. even the STOP seems to not work, so delete. Also go to your cell phone co. and ask for a limit on downloads. Set it to somethinglike 4.99 since most of these scams are 9.99.  
Just some advice from someone who has had to do this over and over again.
