who r they???  stop calling....

I got a voicemail this time, however it was blank.

I called back.  It's First Convenience Bank (Texas).  The lady was really nice (which is so weird for a collection call?!?!)

Anywho, I saw on here that there was some question.

I received a bunch of calls from 1 866-850-9040 all in one day with no messages, when I left work I called the # back and it was Ft. Hood National Bank, 1st National Bank of Texas, first community bank all one and the same. They were calling to tell me my acct was over drafted $86 for 3 days. Now since my girlfriend was also a collection agent I asked her what could be done. She informed me that the reason they didn't leave a message is because they're only allowed to leave one message per day and they wanted to speak with me not leave a message and they could call as many times in a day as they wanted. Well I find this to be harassing and as a business owner myself, I think it is a terrible business practice. I called them back and told them I knew the acct. was overdrawn and when I planned to correct it. Then warned them not to call me again unless I didn't follow through with my arrangements and if they did I was going to report their poor business practices to the BBB. Our recommendation to all who receive these phone calls, from any company is to do the same thing as I did and then if they call again and they will, report them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and to your local chamber of commerce. If you're really pissed like me, you can keep a copy of your bill and send it along with a nasty gram to your local and state government.

They constantly, but never leave messages or anything. Lately, I have received telemarketing calls on my cell phone.

If your getting calls from this number take care of your over drafts with 1st Convienence or 1st National. Enough Said.,.,,... quit acting brand new do***e bags!!!!

I just called it back - it is 2:40 pm on a Friday and the message says "Thank you for calling.  Our office is currently closed.  Please call back during regular office hours."

It is 1st Convenience Bank doing a "courtesy call" to let you know your account is over drawn. They called me "AFTER" I had gone into the bank on my lunch hr and made a deposit. I told them Hell! I know better than anyone when my account is over drawn! Is this a MANDITORY call the rep said no, I the told her well remove my number from your dialer. These ppl are FREAKIN IDIOTS! Calling "AFTER" a deposit is made.

Well, I was actually able to get them to quit calling.  
I used the following line:
       "Is this First C. Bank of Houston?"
reply : "Yes it is."
       "Well I've been getting calls from you guys all morning, and, I just got this phone"
reply : "What do you mean?"
       "I just bought this cellphone yesterday.  I work night shift and you guys are keeping me up all day."
reply : "We'll get this out of our system right away."

And no calls.

I get a call from this number at least 10 times a day and it gets on my nerves. YES I KNOW MY ACCOUNT IS OVERDRAFTED! When I have money to pay it, Trust me, they will be the first to know!! Until then, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

Not sure if you have read all of these or not, but before you start calling people names, perhaps you should.  Ever since I got my new phone I have been relentlessly harassed by these scumbags.  They keep calling and looking for "John."  I have never had an account at any of these banks, therefore I would not have any overdrafts, same as some of these other folks.

Despite repeatedly explaining to them there is no "John" at this number, and politely asking them to remove the number from their system, they still call sometimes five times a day.  And threats of legal action are no deterrence.

i have called them and they are a scam they wont back anything up on paper so ignore them or report them

These people were calling me six to eight times per day for a week or two leaving no messages.

I finally called them back, and found out it's the First Convenience Bank, which is the one inside all the WalMarts here in Texas.

Furthermore, it's not even our account - It's my Brother-In-Law's account. Apparently he opened it while he was living with us, now it's overdwawn I guess - The guy wouldn't tell me exactly what the problem is.

I told him to quit calling my home number, but he said he would keep calling it until I got my stupid brother-in-law to call them - grrr.

THIS NUMBER CALLS ME DAILY AND NEVER LEAVES A MESSAGE. THIS IS WRONG. IF IT'S IMPORTANT ENOUGH, THEY NEED TO LEAVE A MESSAGE OR STOP CALLING. HELP STOP PEOPLE FROM DOING THIS!

Wow, I wondered who this number belonged to. I get these calls all through out the day. I saved the number to contacts and set on send to voicemail. What is strange is if it is 1st National or First Convenience, I work for them. As employees we arent allowed to have overdraft, whole world knows about it when you do and they make you take care of it right away. Been with them for years. Ok now I know. Anyways, its obvious this a debt collector.

I just called the number back and it's from First COMMUNITY Bank, not First Convenience.

I just called the number back after telling the person who called that she had the wrong number.  The woman that answered identified: First Community Bank.  I have an account with First Convenience Bank, and this is not the same bank.

I got 5 calls from this number yesterday and no message was left. I get at least 3 a day.

This number calls me at least once a day but NEVER leave a message. I have no idea who they are. It's always in the morning when I'm at work and I figure if it's that important they can leave a message. I called the number back & instantly got the recording "Please hold for the next available agent". They don't even identify themselves so I've got to think they are some sort of scum, scam or scourge.

I get call also from this 866 number.  No message left. Tried a reverse phone number look up on it, but there is no information.

I repeatedly receive calls from this number - several times a day, and no message is left.

I get calls from this number on a regular basis. They never leave a message.

I've never actually picked up as I make it policy not to answer calls which I'm not expecting, no 800 numbers and no private or unknown callers.

Any business which you have legitimate dealings with will always back up their transactions with you on paper. If you don't receive some kind of letter informing you of impending business unidentifiable callers and 800 numbers are guaranteed to be a waste of your time.

Put these people out of business, refuse contact with callers and numbers which you yourself did not initiate!

It's barely noon, and I've already recieved three calls from this number (I also make it a policy not to answer unrecognized "800" numbers). Each time it has gone to voicemail, leaving either a completely empty message, or one consisting of background noise only. Since this happens regularly through callers equipped with auto-dialers, I can only assume this is a telemarketer or other unsolicited call.

They call our house.  Don't know who they are!

I am having the same issue, 2-3 times a day calls from 18668509040 and 18663608412.  Anyone have any ideas what this is or how to stop it?

calls and wont leave message

I just called this number back @ it is Ft. Hood National Bank or 1st National Bank of Texas (one & the same). if you owe them $$$ in overdraft fee's for more than 3-4 weeks then they will blow up your phone, but never leave a message.

These people and a couple outher numbers harrass me on a daily basis at least 10 to 15 times a day. im thinking about changing my number.
