A call and no message left. Only the annoying answering machine asking me to hang up if I'd like to make a call

The person was a male and said he was state indiana Trooper and asked if the miss or the misses was in the house hold. I told him no and then he said "ok" and then hung up.

Received a call from the above number on Tuesday, January 15th at 4:17 P.M. and no message was left. I called the number and at first it said to leave a message then it said the voice box was full and to call back later.

I received this call on 28 January 2008. I frequently find this number on Caller-ID ..... toll free number but no name. It is The Indiana State Troopers Association calling for donations. Very aggravating indeed because I asked that my number be removed from their database.

I've received calls from 800-784-0119, 877-286-0028, 888-816-0054, 800-416-0058 and 866-856-0111.
I've spoken with a friend of mine on the IMPD.
Apparently, organizations like the "State Troopers Association" and the "Police Protection Association" are loosely affiliated with any real police organizations...and that's "loosely", at best.
My recommendation is that if you really do want to contribute, try PAL (Police Athletic League), the PBA or the FOP.

As many of you have done, I searched the number online and am now reporting the details on a list. I also visited the website of the "Office of the Indiana Attorney General - Telephone Privacy Division" http://www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/consumer/telephone/file_complaint.html
I also made a call to 1-800-671-9851 and spoke to a very polite woman named Debbie. I stated I was receiving multiple calls and wish for my phone number to be removed from any lists. She apoligized and stated she'll do just that. I do hope thes calls from the Indiana Trooper's Association & Police Protection Association will stop calling.
