THEY CALL EVERY DAY AT LEAST 9 TIMES A DAY SOMETIMES WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF EACH CALL. This is endless harassment.

866-877-2864 is a for profit fund raising company. The companys name is Associate Community Services. They call and never mention that they are a for profit company. They get a donation for a group and take their cut, and put you on their call list. You will never get off this list. The courts have ruled that they have the same rights as a for profit, and they do not call list does not apply to them. If you see an 866 area code, do not pick it up. If you see a diffent tool free area code, do not pick it up. It looks like it is an auto dialer looking to see if you are home. Most times that I pick up the phone for the toll free, I get a call from 866-877, Associate Community Services.

I receive a call from this number at least a dozen times a day. And most times it is within 30 seconds from the last. I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but does not seem to apply to them. I am sick of it and would like it to stop. I give to my favorite charities. I do not need to add anyone else to my list.

This number called in 1 day 13 times and nothing but dead silence. I thought I was on the "Do Not Call List". Aggravating as all heck.

Everyone, all of these harrassing 866 and 877 numbers are telemarketers. It's not a person on the other end of the line. That's why you don't get an answer. They put everyone's number in a computer database and the computer calls your number. It's just like one computer pinging another in a large network. When they program the computer to start calling numbers their job is done. They get paid for every number that is pinged. The best way to beat them is to register you home and cell numbers in the "Do Not Call List" through the Federal Trade Comission. Once you register your number and report any unwanted calls, the Federal Trade Comission will contact them and put a stop to it. It really works but you have to update your registration. Each year everyone's phone numbers are released in January by phone companies for advertisement purposes. I've been doing this for over 5 years now and I very rarely get any calls. I hope this bit of information can and will help stop the agony for everyone who reads this. Good Luck....
