This number keeps calling for my step-son, I've told them he 42 years old and I have no idea where he is or where he lives. I gave them his cell phone number but they continue to harrass me.

Do not give them any information.  Just answering the phone call gives them the message that they can harass you further.  These people are from worldwide recoveries (and many other aliases) who purchase debt from legit debt collection agencies and then harass debtors and their families with threats and intimidation to try to make a quick buck.  They will not send you a statement, but will want your savings account info or want you to go to western union or something.  They are under investigation in several states.  If they continue to harass you, buy a recorder and record the whole conversation.  Many attorneys will take your case at no cost to you if you have good evidence.  It is ILLEGAL for a debt collector to discuss relatives debt sitations without the consent of the collector.  Do not let these criminals intimidate you and don't believe any of their threats without consenting an attorney.  Most will answer a few quick questions for free about your situation if you call.  Good luck.

This number called me and someone named Samantha left a message for me personally.  I called back and asked why she called me and she said she was looking for my family member.  The family member was my sister in law.  I didn't give her any information because I figured it was someone trying to get information illegally.

I talked to a woman named donna they refused to give me thier address so i can send them a stop letter and transferred me & got "disconnected".  If any gets an address let me know.

I received a message from this number stating he was "Officer Hymis" and demanding that I call back 866=897-9080 immediately.  Since when do police call from 800 numbers??  Isn't it illegal to pretend your a cop??

they called and asked if i knew a certain person and wanted info on them and tried to get info from me  brendon was his supposed name  he was investigating ????  this person  i'm calling the state attorney general in the am and the news.

Go on website www.800notes.com to get more information about these crooks.  One of the posts on that site gives their name and address.
