I got the same charge this morning.  It is from the company Core One.  Not sure what it is for but I am researching.

I know the feeling of being scammed by these people.  I got my $29.95 back simply by going immediately to my bank and putting a stop payment on the check they tried to send through my bank account on March 4, 2010.  Because it was an ACH and not my actual check the bank never sent them the funds and did not charge me a stop payment fee.  I also filed with the BBB and just recently received a letter asking me to read the attached letter from Core One and state if I was satisfied with the company's response.  They claimed I had ordered the Voip service on February 4th and was not billed for it until March 4th and they refunded my money at my request.  I let the BBB know this was all lies and that they were indeed trying to scam people and I had never placed an order or had ever heard of this company until they tried to get money from me.

I too was charged $29.95 from this company???
Has anyone got their money back?
What happened with your bank, did they help?
This just seems too easy for someone to continue to get away....

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I gopt charged 29.95 the beginning of March. They told me that i would receive a refund 10-15 days after I cancelled. It is now the middle of april and haven't received anything. I called again today and they told me i would be refunded in the next couple of days. If i don't get the refund I'm calling a lawyer. I have the same charge for 29.95 on my checking account. I'm not fooling around and neither should you guys. Report it to your local news station. Let's get the awareness out there that someone is scamming us. Local stations always have a complaint department that will call these people for you and even put it on the air so that others can be aware of it. I have submitted it to two local news stations so far this morning and I'm not done. We can't let them get away with this!

For kicks in between sending out my resume I call these numbers and when some scum bag blood sucker answers I play the HIGH LOUD WHISTLE in their stupid ear. I only hope it actually bursts their ear drum, thus putting them on disability from their BS job and putting them in the Big A** Crap Boat with the rest of us....

Even if you have debts they have likely already been charged off and these a**holes buy your debt for pennies and then come after you to get your debt costs PLUS interest as if they've lost money on you. They HAVE NOT! If they took you to court they could not win because you NEVER entered into any contract or bought any goods or service with a plucking Collection Agency!

i never received a phone call from these people but they have taken  29.95 (Core One LLC) from checking account twice. the first time i also overlooked it cause i thought it was something with my bank and the second time it happened i went to the bank and asked them whats up. the bank told me to contact them first and see if they can refund my money than get back to them. this is unbelievable how some company can just go into your account and take your hard earned money away from you without any reason or cause.

Core One LLC, debited $29.95 to my account referencing an address I haven';t lived at since 2003. When I called the number, it went to Angie's List. Of course they have no record of me. I am reporting this fraud to my bank, and the BBB.

On 2/17/10 Core One LLC VollP debited my account.  I have notified my bank of fradulent activities that may (so far it has happened) on my account.  Please be aware that this is going on.

My mother got the same charge in her bank statement yesterday. "VoIP Services"  What a joke, she lives so far out in the boonies that she cannot even get internet service not to mention any type of VoIP.

I'm glad she is still sharp enough to notice these things.

Anyone know of anyway to "lock down" a checking account so this cannot happen?  I will be calling her bank today.

Same here...$29.95 for Voip services.  I happen to work for an internet company and do not have a land line either.  I have used a cell phone exclusively for about 10 years.  I spoke to a representative who called this number a "call center".  When I asked why I'm being charged he said that I signed up for Voip (voice over ip - or Internet phone service).  When I asked 'how' I signed up he was unable to tell me and said he would have to open an inquiry and get back to me.  I asked for his manager and was on hold for over 30 Minutes and the manager said that my account was cancelled, a request for credits for 2 months had been submitted and to call back on Tuesday for details on how I signed up.  At no point did I request cancellation, or credits so it was odd that they 'led' with that.  I am calling the better business bureau and will also be seeking fraud charges.  I will most certainly post any all follow ups on this case to help keep everyone informed.  It will be under the name posted above Bill - VA.  Wish me luck!

I was also just scammed for $29.95.  Called my bank and they gave me the same info - core one with the same #. How can this go on this long without this company being busted.???  Contacted them this a.m. and they said they could not give me any information unless I provided to them my home address etc. Heck NO -going to my bank now!!!  No one called my home #,but I just recently reordered checks through Liberty - that's it!

i had a bogus check sent to my bank from these people. i never got a call from them. i donot know how they got my information.  kept calling and got a recording saying that they will call you back. well they did. they have the nerve to tell me not to be rude. they stole from people. i told them i am reporting them to the proper authorties.they even have the nerve to put their number on the bogus check. guess they didn't think i would check. claim i ordered internet and phone service. why would i do that when i already have the internet and phone.

I have just found a charge on my checking from this # 866-945-5082. I do not even have a land line and the address and number on the bogus check are from a residence that I have not lived at for 6 years! I don't know how they got this info, but I am thinking about filing a police report.

I didn't recieve any phone call but was checking my account online and noticed a $29.95 charge from Core One LLC.  They had all my info including my cell #.  Have already been to the bank and reported it....people like this need to be found and prosecuted!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not get a call from a company name CORE ONE LLC VoIP, BUT SOMEHOW THEY GOT MY INFORMATION AND SENT A cHECK TO MY BANK ACCOUNT FOR $29.95 (tHEIR PHONE NUMBER IS ON THE CHECK THEY SENT IN).  I AM SENDING TO MY BANK ONE OF THEIR FORM lETTERS THAT IS AN UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION. I HAVE TRIED CALLING THESE SCAMMERS, NO BODY IS THERE, BUT I DID LEAVE MY NAME AND NUMBER, AND TOLD THEM I DON'T KNOW THEM, I DON'T WANT TO KNOW THEM AND I AM REPORTING THEM FOR I DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY TRANSACTION, AND THAT THEY CAN STICK THEIR CHECK WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE, AS THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

My bank account was charged 29.95 by this company as well and I don't know who they are at all and neither have authorized them to draft anything by check to from my account. They had the wrong phone number for me and everything. Tried calling them on a saturday morning and didn't get anyone just a voicemail stating that they are only open monday through friday. People please check your statements frequently and call your bank to let them know of the problem.

My 96 year old mother's bank account was drafted for $29.95 from Core One LLC. Keep an eye on your bank account.

So apparently they got my old address from 6 years ago and my maiden name and my routing number for my bank and my bank account number.  They stole just shy of $60 dollars from me in the form of two electronic check withdrawls from my bank account.  Keep your eyes out for any suspicious charges.  Know who you give your info to. Keep records and make sure you shred all sensitive documents that have personal info.  I have no idea how they got my info. I did not authorize it.  Watch out esspicially in the times we are living in.

have tried to contact the number get a voice message to leave name and number and they will return call in 24 hours. also there business hours are 8 to 5 est. but they never answer. have not signed up for anything. with my account they left out the begining zero which i never do but the bank told me because the rest of the account was there they could debit my account.

I was just hit by this company today for $29.95. Of course when I find out it's after banking hours and I am left to stew over this til morning. Now I'm going to have to change my banking info before they hit me again

I am a retired senior citizen. And the above company (whoever it is) Core One, actually cashed a bogus check with my name and my bank on it for $29.95. I have a copy of the check.  This is war....

I was charged two times on my credit card from this company with this number.  It has cost shy of $70 so far.  I am going to the bank to file a report to be reimbursed.  I am sure we did not answer the call from them, but if they call, do not take any chances!
