This site is real.  I just talked to BoaA directly by calling a different number that I had.  Apparently the last 4 digits were wrong because they JUST sent me a new card and it hasn't arrived yet.  This, of, course, is a blunder on so many levels:

1. I was "late" because the pay by phone guy AT BofA when I paid a day before it was due left out the leading 0 on my 10-digit account number.
2. They didn't contact me when the payment didn't go through and they were too stupid too look up my account number.
3. I called in last night to pay by phone again.  They did reverse the finance charges and late fee.  1 point for them.
4. They sent the phishing-like email to me today even though I paid yesterday from a BofA checking account TO a BofA credit card and the funds are already allocated to be removed from my account.
5. The email references the myeasypayment site and doesn't mention anything that it's a BofA approved site for paying BofA credit cards if you don't have a BofA checking account.
6. When I called in and gave the credit card I thought the email was about, it said I was past due, even though this was all remedied last night.
7. The email comes from the Vice President, which is odd for a payment issue.
8. The account number was wrong because they just upgraded my account to a reward type account and I got a new account number.  The new card with the new number was mailed 3 days ago so I didn't have a card with that number yet.
9. The email just says to call or visit regarding your account and doesn't say the real reason, which is the account is past due and payment is required.
10. Let's got for 10.  Not really related but the support rep on the phone then asked me if I wanted to take a brief survey after the call.  I declined saying that this misleading email already wasted 20 minutes of my day!

After reading everyone else's comments, if this place is legit, they really need to rethink their business practices. With all the phishing scams out there, I doubt many people are taking their e-mail seriously. I know I'm not.

If my bank needs me, they have my address and phone number.

FIAEasyPay, FIAEasyPay.com - this is a legitimate site. They service several credit cards, including BofA, Discover and others. You can use them to make last minute payments without the service charge that most credit companies impose for "expedited" payments.

I've used them a couple times when I realized i had a payment due the next day, and had gone past the cut-off time to make a payment on the credit card's web site.

I just received this email today.  I have several accounts with BoA including my Girl Scout accounts.  When I saw the last four digits listed, I opened a new window and went to BoA's site as I normally would and checked to see if any of my accounts ended in those digits.  They didn't.  I called the toll free number just to see what would happen.  They asked for my name.  I wouldn't give it.  I asked what this was about.  They told me that it was in regards to a credit card that I had with BoA.  I told them I didn't have an account that matched the numbers they listed.  They tried to get me to give them info, but I kept turning the questions back on them.  Finally they asked me if I'd like to call back at another time, to which I agreed and hung up.

Sad part - when you call the toll free number, the recorded voice is THE SAME as when you DO call BoA... hence misleading you even more!

I receive the same email and suspected PHISHING as well, especially since I didn't recognize the last four of the account number. However, I called and by giving only my last name and zip code, the agent was able to find all of my accounts and explained that the last four in the email are from the new account number assigned to one of my closed accounts when I was enrolled in a reduced interest payment plan and the original account was closed.

I have made payments through myeasypayment.com, although I agree it is very disconcerting that they ask for the full CC account #, last name, last four of my SSN, city and zip code, which is exactly what a PHISHER would need to steal my identity. In my opinion, they are training their customers to become victims of PHISHERS, simply by having a legitimate site requesting such information. What good are their site keys and additional security questions on their regular site, if they offer such a foolish site as well?

got the scam fish too. BOA will not e-mail their customers. I have been a customer for 20+ years, before they had 4 or 5 name changes. Just delete it and move on.

Also got the same email about servicing... Talked to someone AT Bank of America from the # on the back of my card, not the number in the email. They said that the number in the email was not one of theirs and to FWD the email to their abuse/fraud line at abuse@bankofamerica.com. They will investigate it and deal with it from there.

I received this email also, and called the number but it just does not feel right.  Doesn't Bank of America use the "Site Key" for security?  So I hung up on the call before anyone got online.....

Oh, FIA (hence the fiaeasypay.com above) is a subsidiary of BoA. It's who all my payment notifications for my account come from. It's an old MBNA account that was in collections and when BoA bought it that's who's handling it.

I got an e-mail with the phone number above stating that I missed a payment, which I in fact did. Well, I called the number and made the payment without thinking about it before googling it for details. Afterwards I googled and found this page and another one, both saying that it's a phishing scam. However, I called the number listed on Bank of America's website and spoke to somebody there that verified that the payment I made on the phone indeed went into their system.

Therefore, this looks like it's not actually a phishing scam.

I keep getting this email also. Tells me to call this number about servicing my account and also directs me to a website of www.fiaeasypay.com which asks you for your name and account number...The website has a certification but there is no way I'm giving my account number and name at this site even if they have the last 4 digits of the card.
