It is a scam. They call from private or unknown numbers, which people are even less likely to answer and then leave these 866 or 888 numbers. Their latest is an 888 number.  Yawn...this is getting old scammers.

My mother in law received the call from Global pre litigation claiming that I was in a lot of trouble and gave her a claim number. Secondly my husband called them to find out what it was regarding and the lady told him a purchase I made. In which I have not purchased anything. I called today and the woman asked if I had received mail at the address said they have been looking for me to serve me. Well the funny thing is that I have lived at my address for 6 years and I'm not that hard to find and furthermore the debit is almost 2 years old. I asked for the name of the lady and she refused to give it to me. Then I told her that she could call my attorney and talk to him regarding any legal matters and she said if it goes that far then she could not help me.. But she is telling my family members I am being served and yet she doesn't want to talk to my attorney. So then I knew it was a collection agency. Not getting a dime from me and the new number they are using is 866-247-0920

They are going by the name of Key West Pre Litigation out of LA. Same scam, same game.

Well your a idiot. Most of these calls are coming to those of us that DONT owe any money. And when they give us "866" numbers to call back and no body answers then its BOGUS. If they are truly legit why do they hide behind spoofed numbers and call all your relatives & neighbors and tell them you have charges against you. Legit companies would not do that. With so much scamming going on How can you tell who is legit and who isnt. And why cant they give you the information about the supposed debt when you ask for it IF THEY LEGIT???? ALSO GLAD TO KNOW YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY OF THESE CALLS YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHEN THEY FIND YOU...

I had the same type of calls, I had 3 phone calls in a row... when I answered a "James" told me my husband had a claim against him and he needed to speak with him right away. I told him he was away and what was this in regard to... he couldn't tell me. He needed my husbands phone number. I said if the claim is against him shouldn't he have his number? He started arguing with me. I hang up. He called right back, so my son answered.. he told him the same thing and gave him a number to call & a claim number & said that my husband was now served... the number was 213-289-9156. I called the number the company was called Mutual, I asked what type of company was this, the young lady said they are a pre-litigation company... I said for what kind of litigation ... she said all kinds... I gave her the claim number... since it was in my husbands name she could not tell me anything. Then about an hour later the lovely "James" called back asking if I gave the information to my husband, I said yes I text it to him... he said what number did you use to contact him. I said I wasn't going to give it to him. He started talking over me saying I better get that to him right away and to consider my husband as now being served.. i started to talk and he hung up on me. I called the number back.. I got a answering machine stating this is an Investigation company hang up and do not leave a message. At that point I figured this is truly a scam.. so I called "Mutual" back and informed the girl on the phone that I knew they were a scam & I was reporting them to the FBI fraud & scam department. Which I did last night. I have received previous calls from others stating they were coming to my house or work to serve me... they never have, however I informed them that I was reporting them, which I did and I have not heard back from them so far. This type of harassment is illegal. No legitimate company would do business this way.  

Its so funny my brother is a private investigator and he said SCAM, SCAM.SCAM  from the phone number 1-855-391-3715 Don't pay them one dime anyone they are scare tactics DONT PAY ANY MONEY!! THEY ARE NO LEGIT!! I'm sure they are calling from different numbers to!! I called and asked for a license number to operate business in the state and they hung up scam!!

Yeah I also got a call Mon @ 10:30 with this lady named Liz Collins702989872 the fake locator saying she is going to serve me and you need to verify your address Wait don't you have it ?? That is what I was thinking in my head Super Idiot Furthermore a server does not call you they just serve you Red Flagg!! Yeah I said it  because I know they be on these websites anonymously posing as victims.telling me to call this number 18553913715. I ask who do you work for? She said for herself and I knew it was illegal. needed me to call this number on behalf of what I asked? She stated fraudulent charges were pending against me for check fraud and breach if contract I laughed and said that is totally against the law and you are a scam artist with the rest of your crew. She hung up and said I will call back in 30 min. I stated don't because you will be arrested along with your crew for harassment. So I called the number and spoke to James the stupid a** customer service rep who ask for my info I stated hell no. Who are you? We are collecting a debt on behalf of a lender. I said talk to my attorney and Starla the fake a** supervisor got on and started blabbing bout they don't take payment arrangements less then what is owed I said b***s***. Any real collector will take what someone can pay not what you want idiot. I said if a consumer pays you 5 dollars you wont take it? She stated I owed a loan and I have to pay 575.00. I immediately stated were are the documents stating that I owe. Why have I gotten them in the mail? She states she does not know. I stated well I don't know if I owe you either(lmao) I stated what's your address, she  she said we don't give that out I said can I send a payment in She stated no only by cc I said now I know you are illegal because you wont give me Either or which is a violation of my FTC Law  and I will be contacting my attorney on this one and the FBI you have to be idiots to ask for a cc which I will not give to you over the phone you must think I'm stupid Don't you watch the news?? Its specifically states don't give info and cc to someone you don't know without  especially if you don't know who your are paying. Furthermore its not criminal for a payday loan its civil idiots.Go ahead and serve me I will have fun with this you violated every law then I hung they still are calling from different numbers I thought you were going to serve me IJS!! No paper still these people need to be stop already filed with the FTC These people are not smart apparently.

Global Pre-Litigation and their "Locators" have been blowing up my phone, my families and my employer.
(877) 641-7875 (Global Pre-Litigation number) (423) 218-1270 (Locator)... I returned the favor to the 877 number and they blocked my number, so I called them 327 times over skype which they cannot block. I had friends and family do the same. Just pressed random numbers on the keypad, high pitched whistles, screams, dubstep music and car horns. They started pressing touch tone pad back as soon as they received the calls, used profanity and hung up etc. These scammers don't like it when it's done to them! No, I will not give you my address to serve me papers and no, I do not have charges against me. Hope they die a slow painful death of gangrenous hemorrhoids.

they just called me too they said get a prepaid card and activate it and call them back.i said i dont have the money today she said she would give me til monday then someone will serve me if i dont pay. she said she is in california and the person serving me is a guy they hire who lives in my area. she said she would not send me anything in the mail until i paid in full over the phone she said i can email you something. i told her about a scam that almost happened to me before and she was like oh that sounds fishy well bi*** u smell fishy lol. they are being super nice right now cause im making them think im gonna pay but actually im gonna give them bullswhit numbers as my visa card . i am so sick of these ppl. some ppl in the world actually work for there money and they just sit on the phone and steal from ppl. how would they feel if i did this to one of their family members. screw GLOBAL PRELITIGATION!!! Just received a call today 1-866-820-1355 (unable to call number back), stating that I have be notified of an upcoming lawsuit from an old debt 2009.  When I called back they wanted a enormous payment today by credit card.  When I asked for more time she stated I had to pay today or I would be served.  Is this legal or a scam?  I have been reading all comments and will call atty in am.

Got a cal from 269-509-0394 looking for my grandmother.  She said I needed to call global at 1-866-871-7631 right away and gave me a file number. I pay all of my grandmother bills and nothing s even a day late so I'm not sure what they are trying to pull. When we hung up she said " at this point I have to consider (my grandma) offically served" and hung up.

I was called from 720-921-8883 for someone and given the 1-866-254-9963 for them to return the call. I will be filing a claim as I don't have time to play with these clowns and bothering me

I am ready to file a class action lawsuit against these fools. I will also contact CFPB and FTC in the morning

Guy calling himself Tim Peterson called today, starting with my landlord in the morning, and several calls at my job. He was told by two of my managers and myself to not call the establishment. That idiot told my boss that if I did not talk to him, he would show up at that evenings high volume time and cause a scene. Ha... What a professional. I'm guessing this is over a payday loan that I had with an illegal company. I paid the principal, just not the finance charges and interest that they weren't entitled to. I urge anyone in the same boat to do the same. It's actually a bit entertaining to let em know how u feel about that 399%!!

I received a call today at my home,which my mother answered and was told info that they should only tellme.They then preceded to call my job and ask for my supervisor and the operator switched the call to me which,seemed to be their tactic.I called the no.888-365-7053,which asked if you knew extension put it in now.They then connected me to a Ervin Jackson,which told me about a debt that I paid out over three years ago.When I tried to tell him about my documentation and where I could fax it ,he hung up.So,I called back and he said I seemed to not to want to resolve this debt.So he said I would be served and wished me good luck.My issue is I know that this debt has been paid.I verified the original acct.no and he was not interested in hearing it.This is the seventh supposedly collection company that has called me about this debt.So,I asked again about a fax no. and he said when you go to court take the papers with you.He also used a local no.504-300-0955.I am ready for battle,I was scammed already and I am taking a stand for every person who is struggling to pay there legitimate debts and i refuse to let it happen to me again or anyone else if I can help it.It is time we stop these people and as a group we can do plenty,I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!!

I got a call from "Ben Miller", stating I have officially been served and to expect garnished wages and charges filed.

My husband and I have received the same phone calls.  When I contacted my attorney she said this company is the one committing fraud and after a couple of days she called me back and also found out Global is under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission.  DO NOT give these people any of your information they are scam artists!!  And by the way what kind of "pre-litigation" company will not give you any information?  The only thing I could get out of them is they are in southern CA, no fax # either.

I started receiving calls from "Tom Peterson" at 734-720-0792.  He called twice before I was able to finally answer.  He told me that there were charges being filed against for fraud and breach of contract and he needed the address for my home and work so that I could be served.  I never told him my name or admitted to him who I was.  I asked him what it was in regards to and he couldn't tell me anything because the envelop was sealed " Do you want me to get fired so I can't put food on the table for my kids" is how he responded.  He asked me to get pen and paper so that I could write down the number for Global.  I explained to him that I was driving and therefore could not take the information down.  He yelled at me to get a pen an paper, he did this several times with my response being that I was driving and could not do what he was asking.  He told me that he was driving and looking at my "paperwork", and typing on the computer, talking to me and changing songs on his iPod.  I told him I hope he gets arrested and hung up on him.  He called me back 5 more times before leaving a voice mail stating the charges etc. and the number of the place to call (888-522-3002) and told me that I was served.  He then called me two more times.  I ended up blocking the number he was calling from to stop the harassment.  He then called me twice so far today from a blocked number and left me the same voice mail except this time he said he had an address to serve me at now.  I don't owe anybody and haven't had a checkbook since 2004, 8 years ago.  The statute of limitations is 7 years.  Good luck getting anything from me you criminals.

not only did i receive 6 calls yesterday they called half my family too!!!!! these people are useless scam artist. keep copies of the phone calls (bills, screen shots) and keep copies of the voice mails and  everyone file a police report. once you file the police report call your attorney general in your state and report them. every little helps guys and girls.

LOL.  He called back and I informed him that he just shot himself in the foot by leaving all that private information on someone else...  I hung up on him and he kept calling back (8 or so times)...  I also called the 866-802-5870 number he gave me and they were as nasty as he was...

These are ALL scams and their business model is horrible.  Go after people who applied for a pay day loan, or some get rich quick scheme and claim they weren't paid.  If their "marks" had money, they wouldn't need loans and supplemental income!  Sure doesn't make sense to me!

There are the Indians.  Have you ever tried to return their calls?  I did, and they buy Majic Jack Phone Numbers and use them from India.  I know this because one of them forgot to set up voice mail and the announcement said "welcome to Magic Jack!

Today I received a call from Americans from California.  Global is what they called themselves.  Yesterday, they called my ex-husband who lives in Florida and we have not spoken in 20 years.  He reached a cousin who has my same name (first and last).  Today, they called my office.  

They have a woman call and tell you that you have been notified. - How, exactly I don't know, because all they do is ask that you call a certain number and your claim number is XXXXXX and then you have been notified.

Then I got a call from someone else, he is allegedly the process server who is going to hand me a summons and complaint and has been in my neighborhood for a couple of days.  He told me to call his office.

So I call the office.  They were willing to negotiate a debt to half the original amount very quickly.  They used a real debt I had had in the past.  I was using a debt settlement company and was pretty sure it had been paid in May.  I was told that if I didn't agree to pay them on their terms (3 equal payments over the next month) Litigation would commence.  I asked in which Court was the Summons & Complaint filed.  They couldn't tell me.  I asked who was the attorney.  They told me that would be in the papers I'm served with.  I told them that I would not agree to instantly pay them but that I needed a hour or two to sit down in front of my computer and review my records.  I would certainly consider their offer, but I would not pay off the same account twice.

I did get my records and printed out the proof of payment for the particular account.  I called back and said, please give me your fax # or email address and I will send a copy of my payment.

Global was not the least bit interested in my proof.  They said I would have to wait to be served with papers and deal with it in the Courts.  PLEASE KNOW THIS.  YOU CANNOT BE SERVED PAPERS WITHOUT AN INDEX NUMBER ON THE SUMMONS AND COMPLAINT.  So far, I have checked the Courts and nothing has been filed in my name.

This is all a scam.  I have been told the government is on them.  Don't pay anyone you don't know.
