I told him I'm ready to post, waiting to see what he says then going to ask if the cops are there yet.  Ha ha ha...he told me to post to personnel assistant, then asked if I got the ?,,,,I said ya are the cops there yet, did u get that ?. He keeps replying with same thing..gave him a piece of my mind, have a good night and hope they catch this pile of S**T

i posted an add on Craigslist to sell a sofa they called me so early in the morning said they would send me a certified check for $50 more than asking price and then after it clears they would arrange for movers to come pick up......thought area code was odd as i am in Calif.....txt bk and asked what area code is this no response yet!.....then found this website!.....thanks for this public service, there are so many scamers out there today.

I think I was involved in this same scam I replied to a cleaner job and received and check and few days later and it was fake did you do all your contact threw text message?

I have been applying to job ads and I received a response back for a "secretary/data entry" position, asking  if I was still looking for work and gave me this 872-222-6128 phone number, telling me to text if I needed a job. I did text the person and he/she claimed to want to pay me 350 a day to post ads for him/her. Yeah, right! Obvious scam.

got a email and text from the same number, nicoleconnie@yahoo.com and from phone number 872-222-6128 f****ng b*****ds don't have a life, her suppose name was Susan James but when i looked at the e-mail i already knew this was b***s***, offering a posting Craigslist job like if that's realistic for 300 a week.

yes I received the same text and said they would send cashier's check and arrange pick up.  never happened

got an email from this number from my craigs list ad; said to send a text to say my item was still for sale then sent me a text saying they would send cashier's check and arrange pick up.  I still haven't received a check or any other communication.  I knew it was a hoax

I just received the same message for an item I have listed in Chicago, IL Craigslist.

Make sure to put "cash only, local only" in your craigslist ad.

I deal with craigslist alot and i have come to find key elements in scammers. The NEVER mention the product you are selling , calling it "the item". The name on the response NEVER matches the email. They always get back to you within minutes if you reply and it always deals with a wire or money order. I like to send them back sassy  long responses but im sure its all automated. They keep changing their scams but you just have to look for these signs.

OMG That's exactly the same email I got but the name was Linda David from GA, everything else is exactly the same. I'm so mad!

Just got same request (yesterday) for an item I'm selling on CL. Identified themselves as Sonja Cruz. Appear to be sending me a "check" via Fed Ex from Vegas. They want me to wire money to "shipper" in Fl after money is available at bank and the "shipper" would come pick up item. The warning signs were: sending me more than I asked for item. Phone number is from Il, shipping check from Vegas and want me to wire money to FL. They want me to wire money as soon as bank releases funds which I know my bank will do long before check actually clears. I'm selling local only from now on.

I also remember this is the same paeron who did this about 3-weeks ago on a differant Craigs list add.

Just wanted to inform you that this same exact email was sent to me.  I responded to a job posting on craigslist asking if it was legitimate.  That email was what I received in response. The only difference was it wasn't from New York.  I looked up that number and it was listed under Illinois.  I did do some instant messaging with the person.  Funny thing is that I just sent a message to them asking what the name of their business was.  Hmmm.....no response to that question.

Lets see, having an IQ higher than 80? Ability to recognize the bleeding obvious elements of identity theft? Knowing that legitimate offers NEVER EVER come this way? Moved out of mommy and daddy's basement years ago?

How about you. What keeps you from recognizing such an obvious SCAM? Do you feel the need to keep scammers in business? You haven't recovered from a recent bout of brain damage?

This number is a fraud. Saying they will give me $350 to post ads on craigslist. When I told him I knew he wasa scam he still has to text me back. Who texts somebody offering a job? Total scam!
