I got a phone call this morning from the same number but different area code (723) and an Indian guy told me I was approved for a car loan and wanted to know if I wanted to pick up the quote. He even knew my first and last name, when I told him I didn't apply for a car loan he asked if I wanted to see the quite anyways and when I said I don't need a car he then hung up on me!

Just received a call from this number. The man who called didn't get very far into his script before I sensed something was off, so I hung up and immediately googled the number, which brought me here. Thanks to all who have shared and reported this scam.

Prank Call
Missed a call from this number so I called it back, no answer.  Later a man with a distorted very thick foreign accent called saying he had missed a call from my number. I explained I was returning a missed call. Then he proceeded to ask if I was at home that I had won a prize from PCH. I simply told him I had not entered a contest with PCH and did not know what he was talking about.  Then his story changed asking if I remember shopping at Wal-Mart and spending at least $10.00 (who doesn't go to
Wal-Mart and spend at least &10?).  I informed him I knew this call was a scam and would be reporting the number 876-389-6824, as a recent story had ran in the paper with instructions to report any calls received from this number.  Not only has this number called me but someone else I know and became volatile when my friend would not give the information the caller was requesting saying, "If you don't do what I want I will take you off the face of the planet."  Anyone receiving a call from this number BEWARE ITS A SCAMMER!

I tried to call back and it said it was a non working number and called a second time and got a draggy answering machine.   SCAM-DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO>

Prank Call
Thank you all for putting this out. I just received a call from a man with heavy southern accent, told me to call the number. Again stating it was for Publisher Clearing House, a check and a car would be delivered. I was to call 876-389-6824, ask for Agent Malone at ext 5. He called from 876-493-7894, several times. Again, thank you all for the info.

Just got called by this creep saying he was publishers clearing house.  Same story...thick foreign accent, "am I going to be home?", "call back this number and speak with the manager".  I knew it was a scam, so I called the real PCH and reported it and gave them all the information I had.
The rep from PCH told me to contact local law enforcement if someone shows up at my house that I'm not familiar with.  Of course I will but scammer's beware.....you show up at my house, I am armed and I will protect what's mine.

This idiot called my wife on her cell phone with a bunch of malarky about publishers clearing house.  I called them, should not have, then the fun began.  They know we can't touch them in Jamaica.

Got a call from this number and the accent was so crazy made-up sounding that I was sure it was a friend making a prank call.  I tried anywho.com for a reverse look-up on the number and got no results.  Then I did a google search to find the area code and saw the exact number pop up in the search results (this site).  No one will ever give you a prize for a drawing that you did not enter.  It will always be a scam.  Normally the prize is a teaser to get your business.  Why would they randomly give you a prize worth more than your future business could ever be worth to them?

I recieved a phone call today, too! His name was "Roger"...clearly NOT a "Roger" based on his accent (dead giveaway). He called my cell phone telling me that I had won $2.8 million from PCH. I simply kept saying "um hm...that's funny because I'm not even entered in that..... " and humored him to see where he was going with this phone call. He replyed that it was a 'random drawing' blah blah. Later I asked him to tell me again what this was about and he said I had won "Walmart's random drawing"... um hm...gee, things aren't adding up. He then insisted that I get a pen and paper to write down the information needed...after about the 5th time of him literally commanding me I said "um hm, okay, I'm writing"...Everytime I questioned him, you could hear his frustration growing...so, I asked him to hold on (which he then began screaming through the phone). When I decided to "come back", he heard another persons voice and started screaming at me and began saying some really...inappropriate things. I hung up and spent the afternoon paranoid. I actually called Walmart to report him and she said since she had been on her shift she'd reieved another complaint of a similar situation from a 000-000-000 number. So here I am looking up information about this call.... sure enough got my answer.

Prank Call
I was called & told it was Publishers clearing house & I had won from an entry I submitted. The voice was distorted & very hard to understand. He or she ask if I was home & when I replied no, they wanted me to turn around immediately & go home. I said I was on the way to an appointment & could not be home before noon. I ask him to call me back in an hour. He ask me to call him back. He was so interested in who was at my house, I said my daughter was on the way there. I phoned a neighbor and ask her to watch our house until we returned. Upon our return, we phoned him back. After several calls and messages left, I made contact & was instructed to call another number to speak to the manager who would tell me what I had won. I called, spoke to manager & was told I had won a million dollars & a new car. he ask for my name & address to verify my win. My husband & I began asking him questions & found in the phone book, the area code was Jamaica. When we ask his location, he said New York. We said Jamaica & he denied. My husband kept asking questions & he said to tell my husband (something) we could not understand what he said & kept asking himn to repeat. He hung up. We were calleld back from the first person, who asked if we had talked to the manager. When I  told him the guy hung up on us, he said I needed to call him back. Again, my husband began the questions. He asked who that was in the background. I told him. He asked why we were so leery. I said, I have nothing tangible. No paperwork, nothing to prove anything & why should I believe this, this day in time. He hung up on me also. I called AT&T to see if there were any charges on my bill & they said no. They did check on the numbers I gave them & said this is a scam. I am so thankful we asked questions & did not give the information they would have ask for. If I had not sent entries to Publishers clearing house I would not have spent one second with this SCAM. BEWARE!!!!!

Sorry and ashamed to say I DID get scammed. They got $2,000 from me and I also got a $236 phone bill to boot.  Police cant and wont do anything about it cause its out of their jurisdiction. Seems like a lost cause. Its no wonder these scammers continue to scam. They know there is NO WAY they will be caught. The have already scammed $21,000,000 to date. Sad world were living in.

Prank Call
Same as many above, cat with wierd accent or speech impediment amidst much noise like a multitude of callers says I have won publisher's clearinghouse sweepstakes - they are bringing a certified check and a new car - will I be home? I said I never entered and he never called me by name and started laughing...then he starts calls me a little s__t and says he is gonna kill me...that I am gonna die in 3 days and hangs up.  I called back and told him, no, You are gonna die and hung up.  Then I find this website and got worried about the 876 Jamaica $25 call.  I called Verizon (call came to my cell phone) and they said no charges had been applied to my phone.....    I was only connected about 10 seconds when I called, tho.

Its gotta be some kind of scam...why would so many people be getting these stupid calls from the same number!

I just received a call at 3:21pm and when I answered, all I could hear was loud background noise from other people. A man with a foreign accent began to speak and say something about certified check.  Immediately I said no, remove my number and hung up.  I did not give him a chance.  Crazy stuff!

They called one of my coworkers, and she didn't fall for it. When she questioned him, he went into a profanity laced tirade and hung up. Fortunately, she didn't do the usual "call that sucker back and give him a piece of my  mind"

I got the call too!! They called me on my cell asking me to be home in 45 minutes to receive a certified letter from PCH. I told them I was at work and that I wouldn't be home. They gave me a number & ext to call. Later in the day, they called again & I told them to lose my number that I knew it was a scam. Out of nowhere, this guy starts cussing me & telling me he will show up at my house and kill me.... considering the number is based out of Jamaica, I highly doubt that, but kinda freaky anyway..what an A hole!

This number called my sister, said he was a driver with UPS ask her name and if she was going to be home. By the time she realized he really wasn't with UPS, he repeatedly asked if she was going to be home.
I called the number back from different phone and he said it was "publishers clearing house" and ask me if I was going to be home? When I asked him why he was calling people and asking them that, he replied "You want some ****!" (he repeated it more than once). Took me a minute to actually realize he was saying that b/c of thick accent. DO NOT ANSWER calls from this number. That's messed up!

Got a call from them today What scared me is they called one of my cell phones, then the other.  I was very curt with them and told them I have a sick husband and don't appreciate it.   He kept insisting he was 35 minutes away then all of a sudden 45 minutes away.  He said he was the UPS Driver and bringing me a check from Pub. Clearing House.  He wanted to be sure we WERE home.  Had me write down another number 876-401-6737 and ask for Agent Malone.  I was so afraid, because I do have an ill husband, that I called the police. They called one of the numbers, told them who they were, and they started cursing at the officer.

Well, let's just say God's eyes don't close, and they will get their payback!!!!!!
