So this guy named Kevin Thomas called numerous times over and over again.(I didn't answer because I did not recognized the number) and said he was a representative of "Mega Millions" and that I have won 2nd place on a major million dollar prize. He said he knew my address and If I would be available at my home around 10:30am & if so that 2 FBI agents would be there with my prize money all I needed to give them was my code: 1991 and name verification.
When I asked him what was my name and Address he said he didn't have the info that he was the middle man, just needed to know if i was available for tomorrow.
He then proceeded to ask for my work history marital status so forth and so forth.(which I did not give any info to the scammer). He then said it was for the BBB. I no longer wanted to continue my conversation with this guy so I told him to have a good day and hanged up.
So be careful about garbage phone calls like this here is the number to look out for (876) 391-5188

This guy called me about 30 times yesterday. The first time I answered he asked my name and I said who are you & where are you calling me from. He said his name but I forgot what he said. Then he said he was calling bc he wants to do business with me. I told him he's a scam artist and my husband is a police officer. Then he kept asking more questions and telling me he loved me & he wanted to get me a plane ticket to Jamaica. I cussed him for everything he was worth! I think he finally got the point to STOP calling after my hubby answered the phone!!

Mr. James Jefferson, who can barely speak English, had been calling MY 84 year old mother from this number (which is from Jamaica and if YOU call it, you will be slapped with a high surcharge on your phone bill, beware).  This time he was calling from NY, NY, "United States Claims Office", blah blah,  he has a big big check, blah blah.    We went through hell dealing with this jerk - mom has some dementia, lost $400 to him somehow, and had to have her phone numbr changed twice.

This jerk called three times. Used the name John Carter and Mark Lucas and stated the telphone number so that I could see it on my caller ID.  They had a $2.5 million check...what a load!  They are trying to take advantage of the elderly in FLorida!  How do we get them in trouble?  I hope that someone in authority can, at the state/federal level, figure out how to stop this!!!

John Carter, who could barely speak english, said Mr. ____ had just won an $8.5 million sweepstakes.  He wanted our fax number to send a black and white copy of the check. and was verifying our address.  He called back a second time,  i just hung up.  I work for a professional law firm and hate being rude to someone, but i also hate being treated like i just fell off the turnip truck.  I feel sorry for anybody that falls for this crap...

This number called me over 30 times within an hour or so. It started off with sexual requests and ended up in him asking me to sign up for a green dot Walmart credit card so that when his clients make a purchase he could send a portion to my credit card.. He said that he was in love with me and would give me anything in the world I wanted. I replied with "the only thing I want is for u to never call me again" then he proceeded to sexual requests.. The times I did not pick up, he left no voicemails. Obviously a scam.

I got a call from some guy, suppossedly from the Homeland Security Department, in regard of a cashier's check made out to me in the amount of 2.5 million dollars.  I'm not that stupid, and I inmediately asked if this money was from the bank of nigeria, the idiot said yes, and I then proceeded to tell him what he could do with his check and he knew where he could put it.  No point in telling police since the call is from jamaica...

Do yourselves a favor and don't bother giving them any information, not even your name.

My 92 year old aunt received call from someone claiming to be from the Publishers Clearing House and that I won $250,000. She said she  didn't enter any contest and he said that this was through Social Security. He knew her address and said that he would be there the next day with 2 local police officers.she said that her son would be there with her the next day and the caller hung up.
She called me and I called the number. Someone , in an almost electronic sounding voice said "Publishers Clearing House, John Grady, j r. I said I had the wrong number. When he asked who I had been calling I said Sallie Mae , a student financial aid agency. When I was about to hang up he said "No wait I think we have a Sallie Mae here".  I hung up.
Found out later that this is a Nigerian phone scam and the call came from Kingston, Jamaica.
