So, this number (caller "Bobby" with a heavy accent) called my company cell phone saying I won a Blue and White cashier's check of $1.5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz as a "Second Place Winner" courtesy of Mark Lawrence Company. I asked how I won and he asked if I remembered ever spending over $20 at local grocery stores and registering my cell number, city, and state for "Winner's International." Keep in mind too that while asking for all this info and making him spell everything out, it sounded like he was asking someone beside him for help or grabbing papers to read off the information.

He asked if I was interested in collecting the prize and that he would need to verify more information before we move forward. He told me this phone call was being recorded and started to ask for city, cell owner's name, and cell number.

I let my supervisors know about the call and told the man we weren't interested. He said, "Okay, thank you for your time. God be with you."
