This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

Same deal -- he told me he was calling from my cell phone provider and I had won $400,000 and a Benz.  I told him not to waste my time with this crap and hung up.

My husband got a call from Daniel Mitchell stating he was  his cell phone provider, saying he won  400,000 and a Benz. At first I was excited.  But then my Bill collector side kicked in and I  started asking questions. I knew it was a scam when at the last minute he said we`d have to pay out some money up front to a local kroger store. Yeah right, who wins something but has to pay out first SCAM SCAM SCAM.....Hope he calls back....Got a word or two for his foreign azz....

Man called and stated that i had won $400,000 us dollars and a 2013 Benz. Man wanted to know why i wasn't excited, and I explained to him that i thought it was a scam. He stated that he was a man of his word and that he would make sure that I got my money and the car before he hung up the phone. He stated that he was calling from my cell phone provider and I was the 5th one to win. He wanted me to go to a Western Union and get a money gram and fill it out for 1% of the $400,000. I told him that he could give it to someone else that I was not interested and he said f**k you and hung up the phone.

Received a call saying I won 400,000 or a Mercedes Benz, when I said I was not interested he said your a w***e and hung up.

I got a call today from this number and he said he was calling from my cell phone provider.  I had won $100,000.  I told them to put me on your do not call list - and they hung up!

Received call today from this number.  He said he was with some company in connection with my cell phone company.  He said I won money and a Mercedez Benz.  I told him I did not believe him and I would need a certified letter stating I had won such a prize.   He said did I know where ?? VA was and I said yes and he said the people that was bringing my car would meet me in ?? VA near where I lived to meet me.  Told him I was not interested and he said "ok" and hung up.

guy called said from Verizon..I won $400,000 and a Benz. the delivery guys are up in Arlington...am I at home (he had my home address? and cell number?). Claims he was from Tampa..aren't I excited...thinking he was Jamaican....now he will have the tow truck with the fed ex truck meet me at work...hung up on me, when I asked where are you and how did you get my number.

A man from this number called and said I won 800,000 from publishers clearinghouse.  He wanted money to process it.  I laughed in his face and told him I would be glad to direct his request to my state's attorney general office.  He hung up immediately.

Received a call saying I had won $300,000 and a BMW.  The male voice said he was calling on behalf of my cell phone company.  I immediately hung up and went in search of the origin of the 876 area code.  Does anybody fall for this nonsense?

called and told me i won money after i didn't believe him he told me to stuck his d***
