I didn't realize Jesus was into telemarketing fraud.

Every now and then the scammers dust off an oldie. The "dying man/woman who left you money", the "lottery winner who wants to share with you", the "help moving money out of a bank in Africa, for a share" (that's a REAL oldie), and "Unknown bank account you can claim". They all have 3 things in common (1) You are NEVER addressed by name in the letter/email (2) There is a "fee" to collect (3) A wire transfer (Western Union, etc.) is involved. Nigerian pet scams always seem to be popular, but these are all variations on classic con's.

I'm surprised that anyone who goes to the movies or watches television these days would believe that any number that looks like NXX-555-XXXX is real. If anyone needed proof that a caller IDs was being spoofed, there it is, right on your own phone.

OK, where is their website?
Oh, and "the devil can cite scripture for hie purpose." The scammers are the true jerks.

@Rob Lawlor & @Dickson Lafoon- This "We Prosecute Scumbags" person is one of those Internet Police guys/gals that are out to keep us, the dumb sheep of cyberspace, safe and sound. He means well, but is the smartest guy in the room. Fillsoner is probably a company that has a service to offer folks, but uses robo-calling to get the word out. If Beverly has any feedback on Fillsoner, I hope that she will post a report. Maybe, she got her money?

I did hear from this number and they hung up when I answered. Annoying! The person above that makes fun of Beverly sounds like a real jerk (Prosecutes Scumbags). Beverly, on the other hand, sounds like a woman that turned her life around through Christ. God bless you, Beverly!

I'm with you, Dickie! He sounds like a shill for Fillsoner's competition. I doubt if he ever had a job to be fired from given the time he has to post. They called me and it was hang-up.

Interesting that "one of the largest legal firms in the world" doesn't have a web site... or show up in a Google search... at all. Here's a clue: There's no such company.

@We Prosecute Scumbags
Please don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel!
WPS, maybe Beverly did have a good experience with Fillsoner. It sounds like you are the one with a bone to pick with them. Did they fire you?

Called, left no message.
This is clearly a scam, regardless of what "Beverly Bohler Costa Mesa CA" says. If Beverly is really a person and not a shill for the caller, then I'm afraid she was taken for $299.
First, (Area Code) 555-1212 is the general number for directory assistance.
Otherwise, 555-xxxx is the set of "fictitious numbers" used on TV, in movies, etc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/555_%28telephone_number%29
Second, this glorious company, Fillsoner Corporation, has zero web presence. Why would such a fine organization not have a web site? "One of the largest legal firms in the world"??? Really? Awfully low key for such a "large" organization.
Third, there is no "Fillsoner" registered with the CA Secretary of State, not as a corporation and not as an LLC.
This is a well-known scam, a variation on the familiar old Nigerian number.

"Beverly Bohler" posted elsewhere on this forum on another number. See this post where "she" extols the virtues of yet another scammer.
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-860-589-0220/8
But she may be one of those people who is easily taken and so she's on a list that scammers pass around. See this post.
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-404-889-8270
Then there's this.
"[removed:lang]"
Uhhh... Rolling on floor, laughing my... uh... donkey off. According to public records, "Beverly Bohler" is aged 60-64. We're not that desperate in Costa Mesa / Newport Beach... The only "wrinklies" we go for are the temporary ones due to excessive hot tub use.
This really really stinks of scam. But it's good entertainment too...

This number is the Orange County California division of the Fillsoner Corporation, one of the largest legal firm s in the world.. They find money for people that they don't know they have. I got a call from them yesterday and they let me know that I have $9823.12 in a lost account that my Uncle left me. This is money that I can really use right now! I did not know that I even had this uncle, BTW. They can set it up over the phone and only costs $299.00, so I used my Visa. This is a good company IMO.

Called and there was nothing, not a tone, not a noise, nada, zip, zero. Called back and guess what? It was not in service. Caller ID said CALIFORNIA. WTF?
