Christy,  you might be surprised to learn that over 30,000 calls are placed DAILY from Jamaica to the United States for the purpose of trying to swindle/extort money. In most cases, these foul smelling creatures have only your phone number and will try to extract additional information from you using the ruse of trying to verify your correct name/address so they can deliver the prize package.

I was first contacted by these filthy, little animals, when I received a call from something calling itself "John Baker" (last week it was "James Faulkner".) In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 2.5 million dollars from "Mega Millions" in Las Vegas. It instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS, load it with $499.25 to pay for my "registration fees." A few days after this call, I was shocked to see this particular scam featured on ABC World News. During that segment, they played the audio of a conversation between an elderly woman - who had already sent them $85,000 - and one of these black stained rodents.

When these roaches call again - which they will - please record the call and share that information here in this forum. Please include your area code - JUST your area code - along with your posting name. Thanks.

we have a published phn number so any company or inventive person could come up with a scam but I had a call on my answering machine from a guy claiming to be a manager from publishers clearing house calling to award me large amount of cash & new car & that I needed to call 1-876-850-9347 to claim my prize. What a joke! Everyone I've seen on publishers clearing house commercials are really good at speaking English. I am so not calling them back. I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Found this post about the number & decided to add my experience. Hope no one falls for this. If publishers clearing house found out about it, I'm sure they'd want to press charges. People need get a real job.

The only thing we can do is take the matters int our own hands with a AK 47 and a short flight. You can google the number and trace it back to the island thee on.

He just called back to see how it was going and how far in line I was. This is crazy to think that people get away with this  and that people don't have sense enough to know its a scam smh.  85,000$ Jesus that's insanity!!!

He thinks I'm in Walmart getting a green dot money pack pay pal card for 199.00$.  And is waiting my phone call right now  I have his number and I would love to have this jailed or even worse. I called better business bureau tey said its a scam and nothing they can do. Called non emergency number here. Nothing they can do...  He called my work phone and I have a personal iphone. I will record it but I don't know what good it will do...???

This guy just called me and said he was with publishers clearing house and that I won 250,000$ and 2012 Benz.  I figured it was a scam but I proceeded to carry on the converstaiin to see where it would take me.... No where  he is supposed to be calling me back an having the money delivered smh.   Don't fall for it

man with accent says to call 876 850 9347 so a large check can be delivered to my house....

Manager from Publisher Clearing House, call us back right away - ok...

David Davidson calling asking for money to be wired from walmart and he will send a large amt back in check form.
