These Debt Relief Scammers are relentless. They have been sending me mail for two years now, using different names and numbers. There is no way that anyone can save you 40%-70% off on what you owe on your debts WITHOUT ruining your credit. Sadly, someone I know fell for this scam. How it works is that they claim to mediate with your creditors on your behalf, consolidate all your debts into one monthly payment. The catch is that they pay THEMSELVES first! So the $$$ you are allowing them to take out of your bank account every month is going directly to them, and after they are paid in full (about a year or more), then they start to pay your debts. Too late, your credit is ruined, and they made thousands of dollars off you. If you are in trouble with debt, call your creditors and work it out with them yourself - no need to pay a middleman (scammer) for something you can do yourself for free!

I got a card in the mail from 1-800-827-7700. I googled the number and it came up with a company's website called Vantage Acceptance. I'm pretty upset about this, because the expiration date on the card is exactly one month from when I ordered my yearly credit report. I called and asked the guy where they got my information from, and he said they got it from an "address database". I usually hear this BS from the companies that send you this garbage. Anyways, at the end, the guy says "We'll let you continue with your debt, then. Have a nice day." So, I responded, "Yeah, you too, f******* a******." He comes back at me and says why are you calling me that, so I called him out and said I didn't like the remark he made. He goes "I said have a nice day." I respond with, "Yeah, and say I can continue on with my debt. Sounds like you guys have great customer service." And he was like "Well, have a nice day, sir." and hung up.

These companies are ridiculous. And sad to say Experian sold my information, even though I requested them not to.

have you actually completed a transaction and received notice from your creditor that you account has been satisfied and closed.  did It not concern you that there are so many phone numbers, no address, and no company name on the card received and they are all mailed from Sacramento on Permit #1297?  If they helped you so greatly why would you need to look up their number online and not have their information, OR do you work with them?

This is the same SCAM artists as 888-899-4510, 800-997-6911, 800-381-3312, 888-295-4951, 888-941-5230, 866-848-5577 and 888-446-6136! Received a fraudulent postal mailing with NO return address. Just shows a stamp as PRESORTED FIRST CLASS MAIL, U.S. POSTAGE PAID, SACRAMENTO, CA, PERMIT NO. 1297. Looks like an official bill from the DMV or IRS, but it's NOT. On the front, it states : 2013 - Important Notice - Benefits Number : CTC####### - You have been pre-approved for a Credit Card Hardship Program. You need to contact Customer Service at 1-888-899-4510 no later than 10/11/2013 to take advantage of Our ZERO UP-FRONT FEES DEBT REDUCTION PROGRAM. Do not hesitate and call now before your pre approval status expires. FAILURE TO RESPOND BEFORE 10/11/2013 MAY AFFECT THE AMOUNT OF DEBT REDUCED.

Just received same "official" looking letter which was off immediately as they never identify who where what agency they are and beware folks now these scammers are using ph #888-603-0289. Pretty funny they have operators"sensitive to my needs to console" no joke it actually says that!  Same USPS presort permit #1297 Sacramento CA. Don't fall for it!

Didn't get a call, just an official looking "letter."  It's a scam, of course. Imagine if you are $50,000 in debt, and you sent them $20,000 to "settle." That's a pretty good payday for them. You would quickly find out that you are still $50,000 in debt, and $20,000 poorer.

U.S. postage was standard presort, permit #1297, Sacramento. People are being fooled by this, no question. Automated presort mailing equipment ain't cheap, and neither is the required warehouse space for it. The number is 866-795-3054.

I just received one myself. #1-800-829-7700 With Credit Card Hardship Program. I just had a baby, so it was really tempting. Glad I saw this. I was going to show my banker, but decided to research before I looked stupid. I'm glad I didn't go there. But, I do know that (at least with Credit Unions) they have debt consiladations for things like this. But still iffy how bad it will hurt my credit.

My wife got the same letter, which listed our alleged debt, a debt reduction of 60%!, and a number to call (855-333-2011) with the menacing note under that number: "Failure to Respond to this Notice May Affect Your Program Eligibility, 2011 Nationwide Debt Reduction Plan."  Only problem was, we did not have any such debt.  I pitched it.

Got the letter. Last Sentence says "Not A Government Agency."   One address is for a UPS store the other appears to be an office park in TN.  Not going to call the number.  Not going to the website above until I can confirm it is real.  Thinking about going to the post office and filling a complaint,  maybe even fill a complaint with the UPS Store in Washington D.C.  Hum Postage Paid by Epic Solutions.   Epic Solutions has the same TN Address,  Company is listed as a marketing company.   So just another link in the chain.
